Cheers for the info Paul, that's useful to know. May have a look when I have a bit more time. Matt

It's not a bad part of the country really, not often over Ledbury way, but if I am I'll make sure to have a look, thanks. To be honest, I wouldn't really know as I'm not really amongst the shooting world yet, but hope to get into it as a small hobby. I know a few local farmers with pheasants and rabbits everywhere this time of year, so would probably just ask their permission to start with. Matt

Cheers for that, I'll have a look on the internet for it. Like I say, we have an old air gun, but should probably get it checked out etc. it's been stood for ten years or more. Thanks for your advice everyone. Just bought an ACME 210 1/2 off the internet so it should be here soon. Thanks, Matt

Thanks for the advice SF.. think I am going to get one of those. Looked on ebay and they are a reasonable price and like you say, easy to get hold of. Makes sense to me . Cheers, Matt

Cheers Eddie. To be honest, I have not been shooting since I was a little nipper with my uncle. We have an air gun in the loft and I was thinking of getting into shooting. I know a few old boys with land that I could ask for permission on and it would keep our little bitch interested, she is full of energy and needs working. I have been looking on ebay at some, if anybody has time, could they tell me which sort of whistle I should be looking at? Not sure where the nearest gun shop is to B97 area, Worcestershire, as a couple of the local ones closed a while ago I believe. Not looking to spend l

Hi all, just wondered if somebody could recommend a place to buy a good whistle. I want to get our springer spaniel bitch trained to the gun and work her as she needs to be worked, anybody with one will understand how mad they are! Just thought I'd ask on here. Thanks, Matt

I have put my name on a trio of silver birchens for the end of the year. Then I will have kos and moderns, wyandottes, orpingtons and brahmas. That should be more than enough to keep me busy. Matt
-
I have kept quite a few breeds, but the ones that I have now are wyandottes, orps, brahmas and ko shamo. I have had plenty of birds about the place over the last couple of years, but hope to hatch a lot more this year so I can select more harshly. Take a look on here, I put up some pics of some of my birds. Matt
-
They look happy and healthy.. hope they do well for you! Just wyandottes hatching at the moment here for me, but got orps and brahmas laying now so should have some of them hatched soon too! Matt
-
That's good news.. they look like alright birds to me, my second lot of chicks are due tomorrow, but unfortunately not ko shamo. Matt
-
Not on the computer but I can get a couple tomorrow Matt
-
Hi all, not posted any pictures of my birds on here, so thought I may as well. There's a few different breeds. All comments welcome. Matt

Good luck, who were the eggs from? They are a cracking little breed, you won't go wrong with them. Matt
-
Not sure what you've heard.. Ian seemed a very genuine guy with an obvious keen interest. PM me if you don't want to post on here. Matt

The top one looks like it may be a poor example of a partridge orpington cockerel. When I say poor example, that's from an exhibition point of view.. they all look perfectly healthy. The white hen does look like a white leghorn, and the black ones are most probably just hybrids, may be black rocks, unless they lay a dark egg, in which case they could be marans. The size of them ie. lf/bantam can be generally seen by the size of egg they lay anyway. Hope this helps, Matt
