Cheers Les for a cracking morning with you and your mate, its nice to get an invite and it be a genuine one plenty of promisers and nothing comes of it , it was my first time on the geese and to get a left and right with my first two cartridges was a memory to remember cheers again lads Ratcherman .

I am currently looking into learning taxidermy and wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of how to get started.I have had a look on the internet for college courses etc in newcastle area but cant find anything and was just wondering if there was anyone in my area that has done any courses or training or if there would be any members willing to teach me the basics any help would be much appreciated and i am willing to travel and cover any costs to the other person ie materials etc

  7. It was nice to be out even though the weather wasnt good and it was a good result spoke to the farmers wife and she was over the moon as she has has lost a good few ducks and hens through the day lately.

I had a look out last night to get a problem fox i got to the ground at 5 and had shot the fox by 6 so i decided to have a call i spied a mature buck in the field at about 150 yds.The buck was head down feeding but unfortunatly it was an unsafe shot so i had a peep with the butolo for a couple of minutes but he didnt even look my way at all he wasnt interested in the least and i watched him walk of in to the wood

Well i decided to have a look out for a buck or a fox last night as the sun was shining and the wind had dropped.As i was on route to the piece of land i intended to stalk i passed another farm i have permission on and as i drove passed i clocked a deer in the field so i pulled over.I parked at the gate and and crept along the hedge to the field where the deer was as i got there i checked through the scope to confirm it was a young buck still in velvet.I lay down to get the shot off the bipod but unfortunately the grass was too long so i had to take the shot of a post at about 120 yds i took a

Well i decided to have another walk out on thursday evening as my luck seemed to be in.I decided to start of at the piece of land that i seen a fox on tuesday night but couldnt get a shot.I got to the wood at about 7ish and decided to have a slow walk through the wood and try and get a buck but i knew it would be hard as its a thick wood and its greening up quickly now.I was about 5 minutes in to the stalk when i spotted a deer to my right about 20 yds away i thought it would be the doe that ive seen there a few times now,i got up on the sticks and waited for it to come out from behind a holly

Well i decided to have a walk out last night to try and get the buck i had seen the night before but unfortunately couldnt get a shot at because it wasnt safe.I started of at another piece of ground first where i had shot a fox last week.I stood watching the field for about 15 minutes when another fox came walking up to the exact spot were i had shot the last one. I got myself to a good vantage point and waited for it to appear but after a few minutes it still didnt appear and as i looked down the field i seen it disappear into a hollow and wander off into the edge of the wood, but as i looke
