  1. its tracer's version of the plr500 they are exactly the same imo. mine isnt the cordless version as i dont feel they have been tried out in the field long enough for me to be trusting the life span of the battery over a season or two. £45 for the lamp with the cord on and a red filter comes with it aswell for that money. ive rewired it and run it off my 14 amp lithium. its only a 10 watt led and it is plenty bright enough for any lamping i do round here. i will drop you a pm later when the misses gets back from work and i wont have the kids then lol 10 amp lithium n one of them get 10
  2. i find with saluki types like this is they need a hammering. Not with your fist lol but shit loads of work. You gotta stimulate his mind. He will have a huge instinct to want to hunt and to run. You need him to see you as the source of this release. Most saluki types show this trait. Even more so in pet home who limit there hunting options. So they bugger off to open them options. Also they love to run. Twice a week with mine im in the field on the quad in big 100+ acre fields just blasting round with them to get them to stretch out for 30mins or so . Helps on top of the work load to mellow th
  3. The more hes out the more he will learn just takes time to learn the beam. Eventually he will follow the beam by instinct if he loses it mid course and get on terms with it again. Just takes practice. I'd def wait for the moon to be compltly down as hes a pup should make the rabbits an easier run and should help you get closer to them.
  4. My mates bitch was showing real promise then one day took a huge u turn at about 3 Then all of a sudden Total lack of drive and heart at flick of a switch. She started picking runs. And choosing her days to work. Had this convo with him loads and loads. You can train prity much anything into a dog apart from heart and desire to catch. Hes got something decent in the pipeline so fingers crossed he have more a dog he used to and start getting out with us a lot more again. Nothing worste then dog with no heart or drive.
  5. Ask yourself why arnt they common in the u.s.a , the states already have dogs bred for jobs with generations of successful working dogs in there make up. Not being a dick but dont listen to your friend in europe on what dog to get unless he has spent considerable amount of time working dogs in the area you are planning to work yours his info is prity useless tbh for you. I would recommend finding local hunters as there will be some and seeing what kind of things bring them success. No point raising a pup thats gonna be no good for you when you could raise one that will do all the jobs you want
  6. You fkn prick..you know f**k all about MY dog ..tyical Hunting Life bellend..go f**k yourselfwhat you biting for fuji lol bit of truth being spoken is there mate lolBreeding from a 14 month old seasoned veteran of a dog and charging £400 that's dearer than Hancock lolThe dog is 2 month away from being 7 now though? And more than proved himselfAs hes been to a few bitches is he producing anything close to himself. For me thats just as important as what the dogs done himself. Its what he passes to the next generation??
  7. This thread has confused the crap out of me ??? Are we saying by adding a higher price tag to a dog makes said dog better, thats what i was picking up of some ???? If you wanna sell them for 1000 each that is your right you done all the hard work but you cant knock guys who still do it the old fashioned way of gifting amongst friends. Its your own preference as the owner of the pups.
  8. I've read up on loading the creatine first sl but that was for humans. What would be the amounts you would recommend Creatine and vitamins and what vitamins for say a 70 lb bull X to see improvement. Cheers King. if it's a bull x put it on some sus n decaBeat me to it haha
  9. If dogs could talk then yes be worth it but it is a very well documented supp that yes does work but its also well documemted of the sife effects. Suffered myself on the stuff. The cramps are worste then any other cramp i ever had. How far are we willing to go ????? If you cant get a lurcher fit enough without it i'd be taking a good long hard look at self. Grey owners dabble withit but ask them they will tell you themselves some cramp after a race on it. And most only run up to about 500 yrds once. Great if you win the race. And earn a mint off it lol Next we will be jabbing our muts with tes
  10. if you have servere shin splints and push through it can lead to stress fractures well multiple stress fractures. Its well known in marathon runners. They never advises them to push through it ????
  11. I get em bad if i dont do my exercises. I was told by a marathon runner to use a tennis ball under your foot apply pressure and sort of massage your foot with the tennis ball. As long i do this twice a week i never get em if i dont its like people smashing base ball bats off me shins. No idea why do that to the foot to help the shins but it does work. Loads of vids on youtube aswell about it
  12. right about the percentages nothing cut and dry in dog world but can have the best of breeding and best man behind the lead but if the dog aint got it in it to develope you aint gonna get very far. I truly believe a good dog man will get best out of that said animal but you cant polish a turd and unfortunatly many turds even come out of the best of breeding
  13. All the best in your search, bit young for me for a stud and whats up with his feet. Was always taught breed a lurcher from the ground up. Feet are important part of a lurcher. Cant you buy in a better pup rather then trying to breed your own ???
  14. Never know what to say on these types things but all best mate. Hopefully it will all pan out good.
  15. Yep blitz if you need the range is hard to beat its my set up as well. Mine variable power so it good for any size field but as a bunny bashing lamp the small clulite is hard to beat for the price.
  16. I only been out once with my mate with it but lets face it with built in lithium its a bargin. I had a quick look over it. It seems just as sturdy as the lighforce but without and the wiring issues. Tbh it makes lightforce look like they been scamming us all these yrs if clulite can build a lamp with built in lithium rechargable battery for £45
  17. I been out with a mates 150 clulite was out for 6hrs and never died. Tidy lamp tbh tight spot and plenty far enough for bunny bashing.
  18. Pacdog collars aint very good mate for big or tuff dogs there good for spaniels and dogs like that.
  19. i have perm on a very large estate i walk i hope my back fence to it. When i first gained permission deer was off the cards and had no choice but to break them to deer. As the years went by trust was gained but the hardest thing to do if done correctly is un break them to something. After i gained the perm for deer it wasnt untill my pup was reared could i start to hunt them again. I could never un break the ones i had broken to deer lol
  20. You can break a lurcher/terrier or gun dogs to rabbits. So why is a deer so difficult. Your surposed to be in control not the dog.
  21. Fascinating video. Hard to watch the dogs getting slammed into the gates, though. I had to watch a few more similar ones after that as the whole herding thing is so interesting. Seeing the way a small predator can gain control over enormous cattle. The power of the eye, that determination and focus is amazing. I just got the feeling if the dogs were bit harder and use there teeth more, say like a acd would , they control the cattle better , and prob the dogs not get so knocked about. Holding back like they are , is making the cattle domineer the dogs more , well that's how it looks to me
  22. They look lazy b*****ds most border collies have the ability to run next to a quad all day with easy. Get em off and next to you lol no use on the quad
  23. Some them poddles hunt like mad but then again most breeds have the capability to work if the owner put them in the right situations to learn
  24. All the best with the litter mucca really looking forward to see how they progress over the years. Hopefully some good days nights ahead
  25. Yep for such a cheap lamp that has a lithium in it is very well constructed. Makes you think how little it cost lightforce to construct there not so well built lamps
