  1. 32 gms of No 6, but it'd have to be somewhere that would make him die slowly. Or a hypodermic full of Dimethylsulphate in the leg. Or a facefull of Hydrochloric Acid. Or a forced gobfull of 2- Mercapto Ethanol. Or a squeeze of 52% Sodium Hydroxide in the eyes. Or a shot of Benzyl Chloride down his japs eye. They're all bad stuff, but not as bad as that f****n arsehole, and yes I'm sat at work in a chemical plant, so they're all here to hand. f**k him, nowts bad enough for the c**t.
  2. Cracking post, nice to see something that reminds me of being a kid.
  3. Sent you a PM mate. I'll get you some next time I go if you like, but they'll be pence, same as I paid for em.
  4. I've just read this thread and couldn't understand it, then I looked at the title again and it all became clear, I thought it said FORESKIN PREPERATION.......................................................Whoops
  5. Give the dog a bit of time then let him see some work, the dog'll tell you what he can and can't do when he's good and ready. And for what it's worth I bloody like the look of him.
  6. Well done Nell, that's a well written account of a cracking days work, keep it up mate.
  7. RH these are halogen, the same as the originals, it just pisses me off that these people are selling the bulbs at ridiculously high prices, when there's absolutely no need, they are relying on people thinking that they are a specialist item, when they're not. I know 9 or 10 quid is not a lot of money, and at the end of the day, I'd happily pay a tenner for a bulb every time I went out if I had to, because that'd be a cheap nights sport without a doubt, but when the bulbs are mass produced by the 1000's for pennies, why do they have to bung so much mark up on them. I paid pence for a bulb
  8. HBG this ones as bright as the original, definately, the firm that supplies them is called RING and they supply the bulbs to all kinds of big names for repackaging with their own brand name, for me they can shove their 9 quid bulbs, I tried this last night and was well chuffed, they're the same G number and everything, just my opinion and it's each to their own, but I'm well happy with these, assuming they last long enough and don't blow after a couple of outings, then I might change my mind.
  9. I needed a new bulb for my Lightforce 170, so I looked at Johnsons and Arthur Carter and Deben etc. etc. and they all wanted between 9 and 11 quid plus postage, for a f*****g light bulb the thieving twats, so I called into a lighting wholesalers in Leeds yesterday and got one for the princely sum of..............80p.........that's more like it. At least Dick Turpin wore a f*****g mask.
  10. A greyhound breeder/trainer near me used to use a horse feed supplement similar to SA37 called Clomp.

    Bit of a tale

SMELLY'S HOUSE A bit more about my mate Gordon, his house is on a council estate and it's in a bit of a funny spot, being that where he is there's only the two houses, his and the mucky f****r next door with the pigeons, there's houses across the road and all, but just the two on Gordons side of the road. Him and his neighbour happened upon these two houses as a bit of a stroke of genius, because when he was in the old house he was getting a bit of stick from the neighbours, I never knew the old house, which is a shame, because Joe told me it made his new place look like a palace, anyway t

    Bit of a tale

:11: Theres a farmer at hebden bridge, who has the hunt on regular, and its a choice establishment , a bit like gordons. We were having a brew and a ham sandwich, after a good morning, and the farm collie was sat, growling at my mate.He said to the farmer, whats up wi that fecker? and as above... nowt lad, thas just drinkin out of his pot, thats all Smashing fella though, always a drink and best ham butties for the lads, and he would have the hounds there every day of the year, if he could. If you're coming from the Halifax side, left at the lights by the stone bridge and up the stee
  13. Do you mind me asking who the insurance is with Joe, that's a good settlement and quite an advert for the insurance company, not to mention an advert for your commitment to your dogs.

  15. SMELLY GORDON I don't rightly know where to begin with this, so I'll get on and wing it. My mate was round at our house today, mythering me, because I'm on nights, and we were talking about old dogs and old dog men etc. and we were having a right old laugh about smelly Gordon. He's still alive and well is old smelly, but I don't often see him these days and only ever speak to him on the phone every six months or so, but I've got to say what a bloody character, he's well worth a mention. I first met Gordon in 1978 when I bought a red bitch from him, out of his old bitch Bella to a big B
  16. I've seen a few young lamping dogs like this with squatters, what's worked for us is to walk up to the squatter, slip the dog and then squeak the rabbit as you would to call in a charlie, the rabbit will shuffle in it's seat and the dog will see it move and run in to pick it up.
  17. i knw what you mean mate but the wires went right at the top of the handle near the switch erea and there was no way you could get it 2 so we cut the handle all the way up 2 gwt 2 the problem what a pike of shit these lamps are eceppt for when they are working No need to cut it, just drill the rivet out which holds the bulb holder in, nemove the nut on the switch and all of the wireing will come out. If you take the rubber cover off the switch, the switch will unscrew as well, allowing the wiring to be dropped out of the handle so you can re-wire the switch as well.
  18. Millet/Frank The black bitch is a first cross Bull/Greyhound The fawn dog is Bedlington/Greyhound x 3/4 Greyhound/1/4 Whippet The pics are from a camera phone, so not too brilliant. We just had a couple of hours to kill, got a dozen rabbits and buggered off home happy.
  19. Had a couple of hours out this morning, ferreting a few rabbits for the dogs, no nets, just a ferret and the two running dogs. A good enjoyable morning in the sunshine, no pressure from this farmer for big numbers, so just let the dogs have it their own way.
  20. Have a go at this. http://www.thepcmanwebsite.com/media/sheep/sheep.shtml
  21. You don't seem to hear of this anymore, BUT if anyone tells you the old wives tale of removing the dogs clomper, tell them to shove their head up their arse, it's as cruel as f**k. Try ferreting a few rabbits and letting the dog take them in the net, and maybe dropping one or two so the dog can't miss, and like some other lads have said, if you've got the option, let her see an experienced dog doing the job, she might twig that way, but persevere, it'll be worth the effort, if you spend all season getting her right, she'll give you season after season of good sport in repayment.
  22. I use a lightforce 170 and I find it very good, I've got a clulight that I keep in the motor as back up and that's OK too, but over the years I've made up lamps from motorbike headlamps, car spotlights, washing machine micro switches, you name it and they've all done the job. Personally I think a lot of people put too much onus on the type of lamp they use and not the skill required to use the lamp properly, it's not all about shining the brightest beam you can find, I've had the pleasure of seeing some first rate lamping lads using what appears to be a dull lamp and getting blinding resu
  23. Has anyone used one of these, NEWTON NIGHT VISION MONOCULAR NV 2x 24. £99 at Costco, wondered if they'd be worth having a crack at for a back up set. Visual magnification x...........................2 Objective lens mm...............................24 Resolution lines mm.............................36 Angular filed of view.............................30 degrees Viewing range mts................................200 Eyeplace adjustment diopter..................+/- 4 Operating voltage.................................3 (1 x CR13A) Built in illuminator range mts..................100
  24. I personally think the pic is fake, a lad at work sent it to me, just as it is, I can't believe you could sit up of your own accord with a fizz like that, but I would like to know how it's been set up.
