Well said mate, there's absolutely no sport in killing cubs for the sake of it and absolutely no test to a working terrier. And me being a White Rose muppet agreeing with a jellied eel peeler, what's the world coming to, enjoy that book.

Sell the gun and just buy a Hushpower .410, they're as quiet as you'll get, but it's either a single or a semi auto, not an O/U. lovely little guns.

Is it at sameplace, field across from kennels.

I like the Isuzu Trooper 3.1 TD, mine did 30 MPG and I've never had it stuck, it was a SWB MK2 on a K 93. I have heard though that the 3.0 newer model, S reg onwards have a crap engine. That said I'm running an L reg 205 diesel now just for the terriers and I've never had that stuck either and it's not for the lack of trying and it easily does 50 MPG, run it all week for a tenner and it leaves the family car clean and sweet smelling.

Little boy goes into the bathroom just as his Mother is getting dried, looking at the crack in her pubic hairs, he asked, "Whats that split Mummy" and his Mum answered, "It's where your Dad hit me with an axe". "f*****g Hell" replied the kid, "He got you right in the fanny".

I've threatened to read this book for years and bought it recently for the princely sum of 3 quid. I read it tonight from cover to cover and it was a bloody bloody good read, don't know why I never read it sooner.

Dillon mate, You're obviously going get a lot of reply's in favour of Bull crosses and to be honest I have seen and know of some absolute belters, but I personally really love the Bedlington/Greyhounds and Bedlington/Whippets, especially if you're going to do a bit of rabbiting, they make blinding ferreting dogs and are easily capable of working with the terriers week in and week out, they have excellent feet and are very tractable. A Bedlington/Whippet x Greyhound would be my choice, but this is only my opinion from what I've worked with over the years (too bloody many ) and I'm not really

Don't get into the mindset of thinking that being spannable is the be all and end all, if a well made up terrier WANTS to get there, then it generally will, maybe not as fast as a pipecleaner, but a lot of it is in the attitude of the terrier. I have pretty big hands, yet if I hold them together as if to span a dog, the hole between my thumbs and fingers are no bigger than a rabbit hole.

I've been invited to clear some doves from a local farm, we had a look today on the way home from being out with the terriers and there's bloody loads of em. Is the breast meat worth bothering with or is it just ferret jock. I can't see it being much different from pigeon breast except smaller, but if anyone has tried it I'd be interested to know what they thought. Wilky

I'm sorry mate, but that's not how I see it, I'm not interested in wholesale slaughter, foxes need controlling when and where they cause a problem, and it needs to be done as humanely as possible, there's no glory in killing everything you come across just for the sake of it, and if we all did that, what would we do with the terriers when there were no foxes left. I wasn't trying to come across as a fox slayer, I've to much admiration for the animal for that, it was just a morning out that made me stop and think a bit, perhaps if I was bit more eloquent it would have come across a bit bett

Had a walk out with the terriers this morning, an invite from a gamekeeper to check some earths on his shoot, had a nice steady do with a young dog, nothing special, just run of the mill really, dog in, dog on, little bit of settling time and a 3 foot dig in easy ash, dog fastened on, a dollars worth of lead and job done, a good do for a young dog, but no more than you would expect. Then went to try some bigger earths with another dog and could hardly believe what we saw, walking up to the first earth the dog was spinning on the couplings, good sign, popped a few nets on and let the dog ha

Everything looks normal in My Controls as well, but thanks for your time and advice mate. Wilky

Thanks for that mate, but when I open the link from the email it goes direct to the new PM, I must have pressed a wrong button when I've been dicking about. I'm good at that.

I remember seeing the dog at Gouldy's place, it was a BIG terrier, and like most places there were good offspring from him in our part of Yorkshire, as he sired so many. One good dog out of him round our end was a dog called Black Bob and that was a big f****r too, but a very good honest digging dog to all things and could still kill foxes when he'd bugger all ivory left, I have an old picture of Black Bob, but no equipment to scan it and it's not best quality anyway, taken on an old 110 film when they were the toy to have, that might put years on me, but I was just a youth then.

I've read posts where this fella has ranted and raved about how good dogs are over there, and if we wanted to test our dogs, this is where we should be going, and we'd most likely be shown up. If a terrier that I was feeding performed like that I'd still be digging a hole, but I'd be coming home with an empty lead in my pocket. :realmad:

Just recently any PM's that are sent to me do not show in my New Messages, they do show in my personal email account, but not on here. My messages are not full, have I got something set wrongly somewhere.

I've still got my old Yorks and Lancs, South Derbyshire and purple Pennine as well as umpteen other old ones. Does the blue-tack really hold them in place, I've never used it. Sacrilidge as it might seem I thought about taking the pins off to make them easier to mount, losing value doesn't worry me, I've no intention of parting with them, I've had most of them since my late teens and I'm quite attached.

I have quite a comprehensive collection of hunting badges dating over a good number of years and am looking for ideas on how best to display them. I thought about making a coffee table with a glass top and setting them beneath the glass on a nice piece of baize, or maybe doing the same with a picture frame. I'm hoping for some ideas of what people may have seen to prompt me to get my arse in gear and do something with them, instead of leaving them in a drawer doing bugger all.

Are these them? http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/detail...ts&product=1429 They don't do them in size 13. FU@K ME YOUR FEETS AS BIG AS YOUR MOUTH :realmad: Any links to where you can buy or see them? Hoggs of Fife sell them and I believe they have a web site, but don't buy them from there, they are 40 quid dearer than the boot shop in Halifax where I got mine from.
