Has anyone considered if its possible to modify the battery listed below for lamping. If so it owuld be a cheap littium battery. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-9800mAh-Super-Rechargeable-Lithium-Battery-LED-Strip-Wireless-Camera-/250918145480?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item3a6be30dc8

I recently sold my Mk1 and bought the new MK3M. Both of them do a great job but i love the MK3M.

Huh? The op needs doing ASAP mate as the hob needs testing a few times to see if he's firing lives or not, mines in next week. My hob is caged seperately from my Jills. The Hob must must be aware when a Jill comes into season and becomes more sexually active which makes it easier for the vet to cut the correct tube. For £60-£70 i'm prepared to wait a few extra weeks to increase the chances of it being a success. Nothing worse than having a litter of kits when you don't want them.

Was talking to a vet the other day who advised me to wait until the Jills are in season before having a vasectomy done on a Hob as it is much more successful on sniping the correct tubes. I thought this sounded like good advice as i know of other folk who used a different vet who didn't give them this advice and it turned out unsuccessful.

I've been thinking of getting a quickset longnet for a number of months. After reading the posts i'm going to go for a 4oz Quickset. I'm interested in Masterhunters Quickset Longnet system but looking at his website he doesn't seem to do a 4oz quickset. Has anyone ever had a 4oz quickset from him?

ROSCREA LURCHER RACING...4 Dec 2011
Dazzam replied to bluebell's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
A big WELL DONE!!!! to all the winners. Great to see the Northern dogs always doing their owners proud. It would be nice to see more of the Southerners coming up to the events up North and not just for the Master McGrath. If there is any dvds done i would be interested in one. Bluebell sort out the size of that font, i could just about read it -
Last Sporting Whippet Club N.I. Event of 2011
Dazzam replied to louiejoe's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Went to this show today. Being the first N.I. Sporting Whippet Club show i had been at i didn't know what to expect. Fantastic facilities in a lovely part of Antrim. Free in, free burgers, sausages, pasta, rice, wine and much more. Nice relaxed friendly atmosphere. Only downer of the day was i had to leave early and missed the last couple of classes and the racing. -
I bought one that was barely alive a while back, literally skin and bone, because i felt sorry for it. I fed it separately for a number of weeks and it bounced back very quickly. It was so malnurished that it could only eat a little at the beginning and then fell asleep as soon as it had eaten. After it had recovered i managed to get a few ferreting outings with it before the end of the season and it worked a treat. It's one of the tamest ferrets i have owned and it now has 5 kits in the nest about 4 weeks old. I fed it on high fat minced beef, with a little egg and milk mixed in with it a numb

Classifying whippets for racing
Dazzam replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
That's why i think it is wrong at the present time to introduce traps into the lurcher races that are held at the gamefairs as the vast majority of the people who attend lurcher shows at the Game Fairs enter their dogs into the races for fun and only a small number of people take the racing seriously and very competively. I'm not knocking anyone who wants to see traps used and I hope we see the day when traps are used for racing on a regular basis but not for lurcher races at the Game Fairs. -

wat do u want to know this If it is true and i had have been racing, and notcied it, i would have raised it up with the organising club. The person who signals to the lure driver should always be behind the dogs, out of sight and view of those slipping the dogs. and when did u becom the boss......do u not think it is the same for them all...wat racing do u run r wat club r u in dazzam I ain't no boss i'm just a humble servant. Of course it is the same for them all but knowing if the person signalling to the lure driver is positioned in view, at the side, can be an advantage. -

Classifying whippets for racing

Is there any of the racing over here that caters for the non-peds/lurchers as those mentioned above were they can compete with similar size/weight? What way do Roscrea divide their racing classes up? -

At the Roscrea Racing Events is it true that the person who signals to the lure driver stands at the side of the track when giving the signal to the lure driver or do they go behind the dogs? Still waiting on a response -

My opinion is that Martin Tucker should have put his dog in the under 23" class. Based on his reasoning Rose and Diedre could have raced Diego, Zola, Paris and the Hellbound pup in the non ped whippet racing on saturday if they were racing. Sorry, i know this is way of the original topic. At the Roscrea Racing Events is it true that the person who signals to the lure driver stands at the side of the track when giving the signal to the lure driver or do they go behind the dogs? -
The 2nd Annual Master McGrath Challenge
Dazzam replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Martin, Thanks for your sporting post. Your two suggestions will be taken on board . I suggested the 200 FOR THE FINAL at SHANES as I thought the 150 gave the small dogs the advantage as would standardising the qualifying distance. Also all potential qualifying shows have different distances and I think the Master Mc Grath should really be part of the normal racing. The distance at Birr has still to be worked out with Shane Lee. But I hope you all give Shane your support as he takes over the racing. I thought by starting the ball rolling again at Birr it would give lurcher enthu -
well was it raining. You should know!!!! if it was you who was ouside!!!! What about Rory!!!!!!!! Come on Our Wee Country!!!!!!

People know my views on the non ped whippets that have been brought in from England and those that have been bred here in this country. Would they be allowed to be showed and raced with the whippets at the Sporting Whippet Club (NI). When i say non peds i don't mean those dogs that have been bred from kc registered parents with no papers but those that have been bred from dogs that race/raced in the BWRA/NWRF etc. Nothing to do with whippets, but COME ON RORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no non ped racing over here so that is why paris races in lurchers and ernie should have been likewise and any pups out of him should be entered as lurchers not whippets hardbloods are not aloud to race against ped whippets at their club,,,,but a ped can race against a hardblood at there club,,,,,as there is advantage when there,s greyhound blood involed 1st rule in non peds ,,,,are if ur dog is smooth coated and off whippet apperance,,,,u can race,,,,,,same rule should in theory apply to lurcher racing events that have whippet racing,,,,but there will always

Some people will cheat and do anything to win a race ie . run a non ped/lurcher in with whippets . run an unmarked greyhound against lurchers . run a dog thats over 23" with the unders . i have even heard of a story of two almost identical dogs, one run in the heats and the other kept fresh for the final . lure slowed down . lure quickened up As there is no governing body it all comes down to honesty and trust.....and since there isn't much of that about.....there will always be suspicions and accusations over certain dogs that win. Whether its a whippet, under 23" or over 23" no one is
