  1. A fantastic day of racing at Shanes Castle today. A MASSIVE WELL DONE to all the winners. The Master McGrath heats and finals will take some beating to bring such a high quality field of dogs together again. Well done to all those who travelled up from down south, something tells me you'll be partying away into the night, there'll be a few sore heads in the morning. Great to see the organisers taking some of the discussions on board, especially moving the finish line to avoid the dip. All the best to anyone showing tomorrow.
  2. Great job mate!!!! Deep down we're really all softies who watch Walt Disney and love great endings. Good luck to all their new owners.
  3. I didn't know you had access to the internet in Hollywell. Folks, please ignore this guy, the light's on but there's nobody in. Graham, if you really want me dead just so that you can have my 9 ferrets to add to your 10 just come and take them, you can have the cage also, nobody needs to get killed over you wanting more ferrets. I'm getting worried you've weaned yourself of nets and bleepers onto ferrets. Not your ferrets im after my friend.... OOOOHHH NO ,,i heard you got some brand new neon hi-vis spun poly nets. And it gives me a warm tingly feeling just thinking about them :D
  4. I tried keeping two jills together to rear there young last year, never again. Within two days only three from thirteen kits remained. I think this was due to one of them trying constantly to drag the other back into the nest anytime she left and the kits got squashed during the squabble. I guess it's all about getting to know your ferrets.
  5. Mate of mine has this one ferret which his kids have named Mario Barlotelli. It's a polecat with one single white stripe running along the top of its head. I keep asking him to take a pic and put it on here so hopefully he will now. I've never saw anything like it before.
  6. Folks it goes to show you that most people are interested in a bit of scandal. Up unto this week the views on my profile were only a handful but as of today they are more than a couple of hundred.
  7. Brian i think you're a breast man. First it was two bumps and now a pair of tits.
  8. snare was set fox was caught........you just snared yourself with that comment...i've always been around Lurchers for the past 35 years and never stopped...but you've only been in lurchers for 13...as for paying others benefits.....most taxi drivers i know get there pay in a wee backhander lol maybe its time to change your user name AGAIN Don't be putting all us taxi drivers in the same bracket, some of us have to work two jobs to pay our bills.

  10. Anyone got any Euro polecat cross kits for sale. I've read much about them on this forum and would like to get one and give them a go to see how they compare with my own ferrets. Many thanks
  11. Whatever type of cross you go for all the very best with it. Hope it turns out to be a good one for you.
  12. Cracking looking job!!!! To buy something similar in a pet shop would cost a fair amount of money. atb
  13. Darren, I can confirm that you and I have had a few robust debates including possibly setting a record for posts on K9! As you say you put your point cogently and with conviction and I respect this. So much that we had you as a line judge for the Master Mc Grath in 2011.. Any chance of you officiating this year - same high rate of pay - your tickets and lunch. It might also be fun to have WNM as one of the other line judges! Albert Albert, Thanks for your kind words although i hope you've enjoyed the debates and discussions as much as i have. I would be honored and accept to
  14. I'm sorry folks that i've had to post this topic but over the last number of weeks a few people have been accusing me of being wetnoseman even to the point of accusing me behind my back at shows. This seems to stem from a suggestion that Billy Craig (Tulsa) was refering to me when he said he knew the identity of wetnoseman on a recent post. I have spoken with Billy about this and he assures me he doesn't believe me to be wetnoseman. Any sane person only has to look at the content and vocabulary of mine and wetnosemans posts, compare the two and draw your own conclusions. I have been attending
  15. Here's a pic i took earlier of one of my ferrets. Sorry, i couldn't resist it
  16. The same thing happened to a friend of mine a few weeks ago. The kits were three weeks old. Some of them he put with another jill who had kits the same age and the other 4 he has been hand rearing. He was feeding them every four hours on lactol and after a week they were twice the size of the other kits. Hopefully he'll be on the forum soon and reply to thie topic.
  17. I have the MK1 and MK3M, both great bits of kit. Although i only use the MK1 as backup now
  18. Must admit i was surprised that the lurchers had all the way to go to the ground after clearing the height, but as it was their first time and if the event takes off i'm certain improvements will be made to ensure the dogs safety. Their used to be a clip on youtube of the lurcher high jumping at Chatsworth but can't seem to find it. If anyone comes across it why don't you put it on as it may give the organisers some ideas. Darren
  19. A massive well done to all the winners!!!! Looks like the ladies showed the men how to race today!!
  20. Does the collar take 1 or 2 batteries?
  21. I've had a few fixed for friends and i've always sent them to a bloke in Rotherham. If you want a mobile no and address let me know and i'll pm them to you.
  22. A lovely afternoon out in beautiful settings. A very well run and organised show with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It's great to witness someone who knows how to drive a lure. Can't understand what all the fussing and moaning was about at previous shows. I'll be bringing the fishing rod with me next year.
