Daughters booked me n missus a lovely little cottage in yorkeshire for our anniversary (37yrs) and as always dog and gun come along (just in case) .well me being me I'm out mooching within 5 mins of arrival and bumped into old woman picking blackberries in nearby cottage with poly tunnels and a decent veg garden .I politely asked if any probs with rabbits and hey bingo! Shoot the bloody lot she says .so me n wife wait till dark and thermal comes into play . Alan rang me and asked if I fancied a few hrs out on one of his permissions. He did warn me that it's a bit steep and hard going but hey I'm always up for a challenge .anyway me craig and alan got there and after a quick chat with farmer we were off. Alan chose to drop us off and we would "walk" to him and the motor .15 mins later I needed a lung transplant! Boy oh boy these are some very steep hills . Sooo bored with this crap weather!.decided on a solo mission to a local farm where woodies are causing a bit damage .stuck a couple of decoys out on outskirts of field that has a small row of sycamore trees that birds always settle in them before flying onto crop field. Slow and steady was the way it went but although very windy I managed a decent bag mk1 rapid used and birds all prepped in field

Took Craig out on local farm as I had just passed farmer cutting barley and few birds settling on it we drove around and picked a few off before hunger took over for me.i must say (once again) this little gun is impressive thanks to pav and his time and effort fettling it

I know that dropping guts out will make them lighter but as much as it makes sense(I got none) to gut each one as its shot somehow it never seems to happen lol .cheers lads
