    Last minute decision delima do we go local and have an hour or so or do we jump in motor? Motor it is and 35 mins later arrive at a few sheep fields and a quick scan with spotter and it looks ok (apart from full moon). Craig took 1st couple with ease then my turn and missed a few criag put next few in bag then i decided to get my act together and 5 off the belt . Moon dissapeared under cloud cover and we started to hit a fair few in quick succession called it a night at 2.a.m 38 bunnies mk2 in use

    Used to do this on a regular basis mate and release on industrial estates and mineral lines .always plenty to keep the spaniel keen .if farmer or landowner wants rid you either do it or he gets someone else to do it .theres still plenty about lads

    Took craig out last night and bagged 33 rabbits before rain stopped play mk2 in use

    Well with pav buying a new toy (vulcan) it was decided to go test it out. So last night we set off to a nice little perm &after a quick zero we set off and 1st few fields saw a dozen in the bag and as we were heading through a gate alan spots a couple of rats in sheep feeders and we both got the drop on them but mine managed to bounce into dry stone wall . We drove to another spot 1/2 mile away and we heard a weird screaming noise and on closer inspection we saw a big rat trying to kill a baby hedgehog so alan plugged it .his new toy was doing the job no bother and we caŕried on shootin

    I have found that lads who once owned a rapid then went the bullpup route always wish thry had kept the rapid _ just saying lads

    I was asked to provide 30 + rabbits asap so an hrs drive and full moon to contend with and took a bit longer than i thought but got there in the end

    Dog marked a young spar that had fallen from nest so got it up as close as i could

    I rang pav /alan yesterday to see if he fancied a few hrs on a few sheep fields with the rapids . A slow start as i think i had my stevie wonder eyes in but i soon sorted nyself out and between us we managed 64 rabbits and a rather large rat

    Alans sound mate ive known him from lurcher days and he always kept a good animal .he is a bloody good shot with a gun

    Was shooting from 11.15 till 2.30 if im honest there was no difference from start to finish but other lads may say the later the better as rabbits venture further afield and can be blocked from getting back to warrens

    Me and craig went out last night for a few hrs with thermal and mostly this years half grown bunnies shot

    Out for walk down local burn this morning and these two were so engrossed in play fighting they didnt see me

    Came across a buzzards nest this morning with one very healthy chick on board

    Think its a white throat or maybe sedge warbler
