    The hatred apparently comes from the coyote in the wild :-/ i really hope she comes round, i think she sees them as game the way she behaves.. takes the fun out of it when im worrying about a dog appearing out of the tree line.. i have a new permission full of hare i went to on sat, hawk chased hare which took to a ditch and then she spotted a border terrier running the tree line on the other side of a big field, looked like another hare at first until i realised.. my arse was twitching to say the least haha wernt funny at the time, when i got ther she was up a tree and the dog had moved on..

    Got fhh around 28weeks now, got her at 20wks pr.. at first she screamed at the dogs - understandable, and with this being my first bop and enough work to do already i just kept the dogs away and worked on manning and entering.. now entered and weight sorted im happy chappy until she see's the dogs.. the fear has gone and she just wants to attack them, she will eat on the fist at a distance with the dogs around then as soon as she finishes she squeaks excited and bates at the dogs, ive tried crating the dog with hawk on bow perch and she soon settles bk on her perch then once the dogs running r

    There's too many small minded Internet warriors on here with all the talk of put it to sleep, shoot it..! Fact is mate your mrs hasn't had enough involvement with the dog or it wouldn't think it was above her in pack order!! Dogs are dogs they need exercise discipline and affection (Cesar milans words) it's no rotty were talking about!     We work them where its ditches, hedges rivers etc dogs will jump gates odd barbed wire when told just not sure they'll see it coming when on a rabbit..

    How many of you work your dogs near barbed wire? Recently on morning walks where I go over local fields just for the dogs to stretch their legs I've seen plenty rabbits but don't let the dogs course as barbed wire is everywhere!! Am I being too soft? So I ask how do your dogs work along side this man made crap?

    Mine are kept on the leads unless working or theres nobody around.. those with dogs in public places that are off the lead and run upto other peoples dogs that are on a lead p*ss me right off and deserve a chewing!!!

    If your like me and don't do books, try looking on the Internet. Best of to do a general read up on lurchers/longdogs, benefits/reasons of the crosses and what individual breeds bring to a cross etc. Then try to post again with more specific questions.. ATB

    It's bad news when they run daft on tarmac! I was kicking the ball round in a car park with a mate and letting his staff chase it till we noticed blood, ended up carrying the dog around for a few days, it's pads were cut up bad..! Lesson learnt!

    I keep my dogs in the house so space would be the main issue and wher I go I prefer not to get too much attention or having the local scaly wags wanting it as a dick extension.. Atb
