    Good mooch locally today. Just Floyd n Cú out. Floyd worked well all day flushed plenty of game birds, big ears and cotton tails. Good trailing long loops on puss and good work in briars at bunnies. Got got marks at rats. One bolted and he caught him in the briars, one mark 3 bolted and gave us the slip and last mark we killed 2 big fat rats. Was chuffed with last mark, in a muck hill with lots of tubes and very loose clay, as you digging clay just falls in covering tubes and making it to mark rats. Floyd stuck at it, kept scratching and searching and finally found two big rats in a tube that

    One good hunt today, we put in some miles walking, think the diabolical weather had most vermin in burrows but we got one decent run. Only got few minutes on video but the run was lot longer.

    Little mooch down the estuary tonight, good place for rats. Got couple of slips at rabbits for the lurcher in fields beside it too, two good enough runs. Terrier marked two rats under boulders, no spade or tractor with me so the got best.

    Any litters of good working terriers planned in near future in Ireland lads? Will go to a good permanent home, no matter what, he'll be kept. Small type wanted only be used for all "legal" quarry in Ireland. Broken coat and colored preferred by myself but that's just a preference.

    After a couple of Sundays out with Foxhounds I was back on my own permission today. Had good ramble, brought the auld side by side with me cos the farmer had lost alot of chickens during the week. Didn't see any chicken killers and only time I could get a bit of video was when he was hunting these rabbits.

    Nemo, Collie/hound. Id had a couple of lurchers before I got as working hounds but he was first id got as a pup and trained up to a decent standard, good all rounder. I swapped him for a good digging terrier bitch but I always regretted it tbh. The little terrier bitch got killed on the road within a yr. Bout 20yrs ago

    I let mine hunt all game. They soon learn rabbits in burrows to be ignored but rats n foxes in ground to be scratched out. Id a great terrier yrs ago, she was tiny could fit to some rabbit holes and would go but I'd know by her it was a rabbit and just walk off and call her off but when was Basil shed stay and the sounding was different so id know. Most terriers and hounds will hunt a fox before anything but they'll hunting anything rather than nothing. I let mine hunt/flush all game n vermin above ground fur n feather. Each to their own. But as to the OP 4 months is to young
