Heard a rumour that there have been some Grilse seen in the town water [Dumfries] but as yet it remains a rumour the mate got a three and a half pound grilse and a local got a nice nine and a half ponder good clean fish a few weeks ago Were they caught in the Nith midnight? There were a few salmon caught in April/may as is the case most years,I'd guess between 10-20.In June it tends to go quiet salmon wise untill the grilse start to run. It is shaping up to be another very poor season for the sea trout sadly. no mate it was on my local river the gryfe there was some big

some nice sea trout water near cairndow we use salt cured mackerell strip with a float you can hire a boat from a guy just outside furnace plenty of dogfish up near the tea room just out side furnace near the salmon cages thats if you are going up invarary or are you going up st cathrines side

whats the poly balls for mate would the power bait not keep it up off the botom on its own never tried it with worms is that for brownies or rainbow as we only use it for rainbow

ball weight on to a swivel with 2 feet of line on to a small trebble roll the power bait into a ball and wrap it round the trebble we use the green one with glitter in it deadly gear mate as it floats clear of the weeds

hope you get them back mate but you cant go blaming gypos every time a dog goes missing my mates 2 lurchers were stole a few weeks agoe 4 days later the dog was up for sale in the yellow paper the story goes a bit like this my mates pall was looking for a dog seen this one advertised in the paper went to see it phoned the mate to let him know that it sounded like his 6 month old pup so his mate goes up buys the pup brings it up to show my mate to see if it was his pup whitch it was then his mate asked for the money he payed for the pup my mate was rather pissed at this told him just to keep

just back from furnace got 40 between three of us in a couple of hours and some nice pollock good size macks and a few joeys
