i think they would throw more to the whippet side as with bull xgreyhounds after a few generations they will resemble pure greyhounds as the terrier absorbs into these dogs so easily. -
could any body tell me how how the bedlington was originally bred ie what dogs were used in its make up

lets be realistic you mate them two dogs and you be aswell running a spaniel I suppose ignorance is bliss to some well the dogs got to be faster than the quarry so unless your hunting hedge hogs there not going to be much good and i am not trying to be ignorant just trying to save the boy disapointment not unless he wants the dog for bushing. he would be far better putting a greyhound over it and getting some usefull pups.

because with the estra coat the dog will be able to work for longer periods in harsher weather ... and as for stamina then it will obviously be able to have more runs on game ... simple really ...... lets be realistic you mate them two dogs and you be aswell running a spaniel

i find it pointless to breed whippet sized lurchers as whippets will out match any small lurcher.whats the point in sacrificing speed and strike for coat and stamina

i have seen one that would take charlie and it took quite a few but you can forget the big rabbits better with beddie x grey to save dissapointment

spot on juckler to me old puss is the hardest of all quary and i love to here about different dogs how they were bred and diffrent opinions so we can all learn some thing off one another

the best bitch i ever owned was mated three times to different dogs and the least good of the three throw the best pups but still not in the class of the bitch. now i go for a quarter whippet for gameness and strike half greyhound for gameness and speed quarter saluki for stamina feet and coat and they all must be off stayers.they probably wouldent do down in the south east but would be hard to top else were

tommy what would you say was a good stud dog?i my self youse whippet and whippet x greyhounds at stud and never known them to throw a jacker. it is very hard to match two coursing dogs to breed off of you will always get a lot wastage.
