That camera will get you by for short distances, Ratting normal distance Rabbits, but You need to get a decent IR like Uniquefire T20 converted to infrared with an Oslon Black 850nm.You need to remove The IR Cut Filter, and then change the lens to a 16mm or 9-22mm to give you a full screen. Then you may get to 100 yards, if that's enough for you: Dave

Some good Ratting their Si, was Fieldsports Britain there that day saw one of there Vids the other day and they mentioned getting 303 Rats, i have just started shooting Rats about a month ago and its so infectious the time goes so quick: Dave

Weebster why don't you buy one of the cheap end scopes with 3-9x50 AO as they have less coating on the optics they work fine, for spotting i have a Bresser Monocular with the added IR of the Oslon Black Illuminator i get good range: Dave
-
Evo are you using a Watec 902H or Sony board camer, and what Illumination are you using, because i think a Osram Oslon Black IR emittor would make the world of differance to how far you would see with a lot clearer image: Dave

Hunting With The Brocock Contour Super 6 Air Rifle
hotshot2me replied to zini's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Si & Davy, another well made Vid, i have been advocating for the Brocock range of guns for some time on other sites, the video shows just how versatile these guns are. I have had the Brocock Concept Super six for some time now and it is a blisteringly accurate gun its the full stock, for the value for money i don't no why everyone hasn't got one for around £360 for a PCP that handles like a gun of 4 times its value, they are well within the price range for most people. the build is unbelievable for the money paid, The concept weighs slightly more than the Contour at a meager 5.5 lbs but -

The tyres are Maxxis Trepador 205/70x15 they have a super tread pattern, 20% road and % off road, the tread wraps round the wall of the tyre so that you have grip side and bottom of the tyre. They cost £396 off E-BAY and are still selling at that price, i will take £280 ovno. they are only a month old and only covered 100 miles, i put them on Honda CRV but took them off as i had to sell it. and now have a discovery 1, and the tyres are not needed now, the photo was taken before i put them on the other car: Dave

Sometimes if you've got everything right the Pigeons still wont come in thats just the way it is, if they are using another field nearby don't forget when they are flying high they can see for miles and with there keen eye sight, they pick up birds dropping from you say 1/2 mile away and they will pull them in as happened to us yesterday two fields away from us over a railway embankment. they were flying straight over ignoring the decoys completely, when we packed up we had a ride round behind us to find the field, it was literally covered with Pigeons at least 4000 now if thats not pulling p

hotshot2me replied to zini's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Si & Davy love the vids think I'm gonna do some Ratting on one of my mates permissions he's often said he'd like to do some, just got some NV tackle together, hope to do a vid myself soon, keep em coming: Dave -
I had the first knock on the door at17.05 went out and there was ten kids their i gave a third of the sweets away in the first hit couldn't believe it, just managed to have enough left but had to restrict the amount i gave away to the last one's at 18.45 thankfully and then they were six strong: Dave

Just spoken to Tony the App is called Pest Tally £1.49, off the Apple App store gives a reference to Tony in the write up: Dave
-
Hard luck Mac you'll get back on song I'm sure nice Rabbits for your mate: Dave
-
Tony I've got an idea that would be straight up everyone's street, if someone could make an App that would link you up to the Hubble telescope and pinpoint Rabbits in the area, say next or two fields away now that would be good, you could zoom right in on them LOL: Dave
-
I only take enough Rabbits for my self and a couple of OAP friends near me, so tend not to overshoot, but pigeons with the shotgun thats a different matter, but none get wasted: Dave
-
Another entertaining and informative Video Si, the only thing i have against them is the price, this could be reduced by at least 40% as i have been doing a lot of searching on the INTERNET re home made NV setups and a good setup can be had for a fraction of the price and equally as good in my opinion, its just a matter of sourcing the equipment at the right price which can be found: Dave
