  1. Lovely looking dog and if your pleased with it then that is all that counts, atb
  2. Just to refresh your memory about which dog, it must be hard to keep up with them all http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/212683-where-is-this-dog/
  3. How about giving Whippetlad1976 an answer about the dog you had off him, poor lad just wants to know how his dog is doing and an update. Would be really nice of you to let him have it back now he's in a position to keep it and you obviously have your hands full with bringing on a few pups.
  4. Send her to me, she's gorgeous and i'd have her in a heartbeat My Fly needs a partner just like her.
  5. Leicestershire I got a pup too, can we have a puppy day out?
  6. Spot on, i never thought to ask those questions as i'm tired Automatically assumed he had a mature/fit bitch to start with. Yeah mate, as C/G says, you may have to change her food for a lower protein diet but keeping an eye on her weight and adjusting feed accordingly combined with plenty of excercise and you wont go wrong. I've had a couple of bitches speyed in the past and they never got fat (non-working pets so lazy f*ckers as well)
  7. As long as you stick to a good diet and excercise there's no reason for a neutered dog/bitch to gain weight. Will make no difference to her temperament or working ability. If you can wait to get her done i would do it in the off season so she has plenty of time to recover and get fit for when you want her to work atb
  8. broken coated for me, you keep the smooth mate
  9. I'm sure she'll do you proud mate, doubts?..... what doubts, next year you'll wonder why you were ever concerned
  10. Mine go off thier food in the hot weather as well, it's normal. Try feeding early morning or late evening when it's cool. Let the dogs see each other as often they will eat up if they think another dog will steal it. Add something tasy like gravy to encourage them to eat. I don't know what you feed, when or how but these tricks sometimes work, atb mate & good luck
  11. So is there 3 dogs? 2 fawn (1 blue collar, other green) and 1 chocolate with green collar. I like the fawn with the green collar best but they're all lovely animals mate, thanks for sharing
  12. Do either or both parents work themselves as it sounds like they are pets but with working dogs in thier pedigree. You need to clear that up as it does make a difference to peoples interest in them. Get yourself a free photobucket account, upload your pics there and then copy the bottom code (of the 4 displayed when you hover mouse over thumbnail) from the pic you want and paste it into a post here, picture is posted for you then, seemples
  13. Do they now do the Funky Chicken? My old dog could sing "The birdy song" totally in rythym and even barked the claps. Pity we never filmed her as it was hilarious (but embaressing too) She didn't dance it tho!
  14. Leaving a radio on does settle dogs down in kennels, most boarding places and rescue centres do it and it works. As for the other ideas Windy, i very much doubt the rythym part but keep the ideas coming as they crack me up (Are you the twitter guy that posts under "shit my dad says"? he's as funny as you)
  15. wasnt zoltan the hound of dracula No idea, i'd never heard it before but if true then it's probably why it suited her rottie Might turn his pup into a handy killer tho
  16. I'm not a bullX fan but i really like your dog mate, that's a beauty
  17. If your looking for a boys name what about "Zoltan"? Mate had a rottie and it suited him, very masculine
  18. Same as Rubyjet, if the dogs look great, don't gain weight or start bouncing off the walls with unspent energy then i don't see any reason to change thier food even if the excercise levels drop. Will be Chudleys greyhound racer all year round for mine too unless things change and i have to drop it. Will see how mine gets on this season, i can always add raw meat if she needs extra
  19. Mine is 9 months old now and did exactly the same as yours, bolted away from a cat and was frightened by car headlights (fine with cars in the daytime). I was a bit concerned but didn't make an issue of it. She's older now and wants to chase anything that moves, neighbours 2 cats have had a couple of close calls from her. Oh and the headlights is a thing of the past, i picked up a sitting bunny with my torch, once it bolted she switched on, now she perks up excitidly whenever she see's a light. I just hope she don't go running in front of a car to see whats there
  20. Is it my imagination or did the dogs keep swopping collars? Looks a lovely place to walk though, cracking dogs too atb.
  21. I switched to Chudleys Greyhound racer about 2 months ago and mine all look in the peak of condition, glossy coats (no dandruff even my black one you can see your reflection on her), plenty of energy but not hyper and that includes the pet dogs as well. None of them have gained weight or become hyped, stools are dark, firm and a lot less in number Only one will be a working dog, she's 9 months at the moment, yet this food suits all of mine and i won't be changing it to anything else. Buy it online from http://www.greyhoundsuperstore.co.uk/displayprods.asp?curpage=2&qid=127&q
  22. As in Zola Bud? Has to be a girls name
