  1. What a good giggle, love the lampost one, brought back some memories of when my Dad walked into one while rubbernecking a car crash
  2. I have the litter sister and same problem, she's even after our own chickens which she's been around and fine with every day since a little pup, about a month ago she decided they were fair game and is very stubborn and ignores my yelling, yanking lead and even a physical reprimand.......... i'm really hoping she grows out of it
  3. yep i was right, .................my old brain cell didn't let me down this time
  4. Now i might be way off base here but i seem to recall a programme about OES saying they have a very unusual gait, they roll from side to side when they run because they use both legs on the same side together rather than opposite legs or as running dogs (2 front then 2 back giving reach & speed). If this is true i wouldn't want to alter the movement of a running dog by making it different in the wrong way if you see what i mean
  5. Deepest condolances to Mellissa's family. RIP young lady
  6. see if this link works copy the addy but remove the space in "you tube" then paste it to your addy bar and you might be able to view it that way http://www.you tube.com/watch?v=1d4LDucUO84&feature=player_embedded
  7. Sire is red, Dam is blk/tan and shame you can't see the video as they're a cracking litter in excellent condition. Real credit to the seller from what i can see
  8. nah mate was up that way the other night nothing about though mate i went up by the NEC Hey you been reading my old posts! There be no rabbits round ere, honest
  9. I can't wait to have a night like that mate, well done both of you

Beauiful birds OK dumb question time,............. can they be kept with other birds such as chickens? I have 5 assorted laying hens in a very large, fully enclosed pen and was looking to ad a bit more colour (just as pets).
  13. if the dog isn't shy around you then really go overboard on the praise when your playing with him, try running about and get him interested to follow what your doing. You also need to higher your voice (most men have deep voices and can sound like they're mad with the dog even when saying "Good lad") Make your voice happy and act fun even if you do feel like a tw*t the dog should respond to you and play. Do this when it's just you and the dog, no other distractions and who cares what you look & sound like.
  14. I use the purple stuff, get it cheap from equestrian or horse supplies
  15. Go and ask for permission and you wont have to worry about the old bill
  16. Just wanted to add that even when my dog is attached to the bike i also keep her lead on but have it slack and looped over my wrist, never had her come loose from the bike but i find it safe and useful to have her lead on as well, easy to unclip her from bike and already on lead Also the bar part has a quick fix/release mechanism so literally in 2 seconds you have dog on lead, you off bike and a handy heavy metal bar in hand should it be needed for anything
  17. Sorry i don't recall other postsor what problems you have with him. Is he just slow to mature? Some dogs take a long time to grow up mentally even after they stopped growing physically.
  18. He's either having you on or got confusd and meant give them 12 weeks after having pups. Not had a running dog to try working yet so will bow to the advice of others but i do know you wouldn't need to wait 12 weeks mate, also if they aint had a lining or litter they don't get milk after a season unless they get a phantom pregnancy
  19. Yeah thats me, 9 stone wringing wet & wearing full winter clothes Thought i would add to the mental image as i aint big and i aint strong but i had an even bigger & very skittish dog of about 55-60lbs on this bike thing and even he couldn't pull me off it, you could feel his extra strength but not enough to wobble the bike or risk me losing control. Don't know anything about velcro straps, the one i have i bought about 5 years ago from PAH and the dog tie part is a double nylon cord, very tough and has a regular metal lead clip on the end. The springs are contained in the bar and
  20. That's the exact one i have It does absorb the shock of my dog lunging or attempting to change direction, barely noticable as the springs do thier job. My dog is 37llb & 23tts, i used to just have her on the lead and twice she nearly had me off because the leash pulled tight and made me wobble so the Walkedog thing is definately a lot better. It also is adjustable to different size/weight dogs by adding or removing the springs. I'm only just 9 stone and have no probs with my dog running on this and would even be comfortable with a slightly bigger/stronger dog. Oh and the dog soon
  21. Nice vid but a shame the text blocks out the dogs for most of it
  22. Small van would only carry as many dogs as a trailer but i've seen a few transits kitted out with cages and shelves for kit, done properly you can carry a fair few dogs + everything else you could possibly need
