  1. This was a while ago and i'm sure they caught & killed the fox and proved that it was indeed the fox that attacked the babies.
  2. and a 1800 Where I can't find 'em only 800's I typed "Cree Q5" into Ebay search bar and came up with loads, all different lumes & prices
  3. I charge £12/chip and a one-off petrol fee of £5 if i come to you (within 20 miles of home). I will travel further for more fuel money. I often do litters of pups or several adult dogs, most people will get a mate or 2 to bring over thier dogs so they only pay one petrol cost and get them all chipped together.
  4. Will also be waiting for replies as i was going to ask the same question with the amount of dogs stolen recently and none found as yet. I am a qualified microchip implanter so do all my own dogs as well as other peoples
  5. Thanks. You can make a run really cheaply from herras fencing, the panels are available to buy most places (there's a list on Ebay i got mine from) and at £12-£15 each they are cheap & cheerful. They measure 11ft long & 6ft high, just look out for a cheap garden shed to turn into a kennel and put it all together
  6. Just checked out the other listings and you can get upto 1600 lumes
  7. Can you send me the link for the Ebay one please, £12 it's worth a shot
  8. Not strictly homemade, i bought a 6x4 garden shed, cut a pophole in it then bought a few galvanised panels for the front/end including a run door. The rear & roof are herris fencing panels from around building sites though i did buy mine for £12 each. The roof is now covered in sheet plastic. The run is aprox 26x6ft and it houses 2 large Akita's so i doubt anyone would be stupid enough to try breaking in or nicking them
  9. Don't know how many candlepower that is but i picked up a great light from ASDA yesterday, 1 Mill candle power for £10, mains lead & car charger. Haven't taken it out properly but i did put a decent spot on the garages opposite my garden, at least 200ft away
  10. Lovely looking dog mate & great pics. Guess she's real smart and must have read the rules about long ears, didn't want to get daddy into trouble
  11. Whoever has taken these dogs please do the right thing and return them! You wont get away with it, all the owner wants is his dogs back where they belong. If you could even take them somewhere safe and hand them in so they can be returned.
  12. Lol kid, i know just how you feel. We had a little family dog but i always wanted one all of my own to go everywhere with me. Parents kept saying No so i found a litter of pups free to good homes and got one (i was 13 so irrisponsible person for giving pup to a kid). I told my parents i'd found it on the main road and couldn't see it get run over. They made me put posters up everywhere "Found dog" and of course no-body claimed her, by then parents had fallen for my pup and i had her for nearly 17 years
  13. Just interested to find out what candle power equivalent your lamps are? I've been looking at lamp set-ups and the different numbers mean nothing to me 170/240 etc etc. Wont be ready to run my dog til next season but i'm shopping around for some kit in readiness. I know this is not technically to do with dogs but i couldn't see a relevant section to post my question in
  14. Hoping the Vet can do something for him, poor guy
  15. Sowhat you have some lovely dogs and it's great seeing the oldies still having fun and still being cherished That tan bitch is a very strong looking girl, most muscled i think i've seen. Do you still have her?
  16. Really pleased for you, long may she keep it up
  17. Never tried it for a dog run but it's a bugger to clean as the urine settles underneath it (with horses).
  18. From what i've been told, it's harder to keep weight on sighthound breeds as they don't store fat as easily as other dogs. What does he feed it? I would suggest feeding it a BARF diet and feeding a couple of times a day
  19. Having experience of Staffs they are highly intelligent & trainable. Lost mine 2 yrs ago at 13 but in his time he competed at obedience & agility, was not dog aggressive unless severly provoked and even then when his blood was up he would obey my commands and never cocked a deaf 'un He was 11 when i was working Security trained GSD's and we went to compete against the Police dogs in a friendly competition. I took my staff along for a day out and for fun bet he could do all the Police dogs assualt course, they laughed at the idea but my little staffy proved them wrong when he even ma
  20. Hi Shazza, cracking looking pup you've got there, hope it turns out to be all you are exspecting and more and good luck. Why thank you kind sir She's my first lurcher and introduction to this kind of working dog and i am mighty impressed with her. I was also concerned that whipps & greys would be hard to train but after speaking to a friend that was a top racing GH trainer for many years he laughed at me and told me all the stuff he trained his pure GH's to do, they are far from stupid it's just that no-one takes the time to teach them anything except to run and win races. I w
  21. Mine is only a pup and been with me a week but she does not lack in brains. In a week she comes to her name, sits & retrieves to hand. I would have to say i am very pleased with her progress so far but it will be next season at least before i see her working ability (she has good prey drive). I will also be having some fun and racing her
  22. Could also indicate a heart condition causing fluid in the lungs, not too much problem til under exertion. Could be a lot of things but i recommend taking her to the vet and find out for sure
  23. This is a great thread and i'm loving all the pics and history. Hope mine turns out as nice looking and a decent worker, she's almost a Grew (if thats possible) but there's a tiny splash of bull on dams side.
