    my excess is also £60 but try £5000 for overnight nursing and thats no treatment just to nurse through the night then your talking expensive , and yes i signed the consent papers because to me my dogs are everything and il throw every penny ive got and more at them to make sure there ok

    vets are a total rip off when they find out youve got insurance, they just bump it up ,first question my old vet used to ask " is he insured ?" , money was what they were interested in not animal welfare , insurance is fine but most policies have a limit per condition so things can still be costly , there was a programme on tv a couple of years back where perfectly healthy animals were taken to different surgeries and allsorts was diagnosed very few declared the animal fit, been there seen it done it bought the t-shirt

    I lost a 17 month old bitch to this dec 09 , had got a bacterial infection from a bone she'd got from the butcher which after a couple of days in the vets on strong antibiotics her intestine telescoped and they had to operate immediately to remove parts of her intestine ,she ended up been transfered to the Bush vetinary hospital in mid lothian they opened her up again to find she was infected and where they had stitched her intestine back together had burst , she had to be pts , gutted

    hows he settled down being a pet now, xenas turned out even better than him which says alot yes a pet now , but thats down to a leg injury he sustained no shame in that

    had this happen couple of years ago took the bitch to the vet had to have a jab on the 3rd day and 5th day after mating and the cost was dependant on the weight of the bitch think i paid about £42 the bitch was about 34kg

    Theres a staffie wanders about here on its own a lot & on the rare occasion its owners about its off the lead and a hundred yards in front of him ,the little b*****d nails any dogs going about , it nailed my alaunt pup in january she was about 4 month old at the time made her a bit wary of other dogs she didnt know for a while shes ok now just glad it didnt meet me with one of the adults.

    i beg to differ, hawic lurcher & terrier show last year flat out at the start line, had to rescue him lying in a crumpled heap in a field last november wi a bust ankle because the dog pulled him over i could go on but ive got other things to do tonight

    thanks sharon, glad you enjoyed yourself, but the big man needs to learn how to handle them dogs, trying to get a flyer in the racing when he's not even entered to run thought he'd have learned his lesson last year , when they upended him. i ken den its getting embarrising he'l do anything to save a pound it was the pup that got away this time ive not got anything small enough he can handle think i'll have to start leaving him at home. look on the bright side though for 7 1/2 month the pup done well
