[ name=FAGAN' date='Jul 18 2007, 10:50 PM' post='273819] MR SHAW REFUSED TO REVEAL WHO HE SOLD THE ANIMAL TO WHATS THAT ABOUT ANYONE WILLING TO PROTECT SCUM LIKE THAT IS SURELY OBSTRUCTING THE POLICE, HANG HIM UP Is it not obvious FAGAN that Mr Shaw never sold the dog If he said he'd given the dog away free that would be more believable.Nobody buys a 4 1/4 year old greyhound that has just finished last in a race when the money was down. That b d Shaw has obviously took it back home with him and we know what happened next Sounds like he's just not bright enough to come up with a

    CRUEL B#####D

This is the story that was in the Scottish Daily Mail today- A greyhound was shot in the head and dumped in a ditch only hours after losing a race. Jamiedan Flyer came last at a meeting earlier this month, despite being heavily favoured by punters. Later that night, the terrified animal's howls were heard by a couple who later found him lying against a tree in a pool of blood. A local vet was called in an attempt to help the dog, but it was so badly injured it had to be put down. Last night vet Lorna Lazenby said she was disgusted when she arrived to help the stricken animal a
  4. This is Jamiedan Flyer Sadly he will not enjoy a retirement because he was put to sleep on the 8th July. He was found screaming in pain after being shot in the temple by an airgun and thrown into a gully near Dalrymple, Ayrshire. He had his last race at Ayr Greyhound Stadium only hours earlier. Our thanks go to the vet who ended Jamiedan Flyers suffering and to Ayr track management who are helping us in every possible way. The above was on a greyhond forum yesterday. How could anyone do that,I hope the relevant authorities get the b#####d that did this and deal with them
  5. Thanks for sharing your day with us Bob
  6. Wish I could say the same [clean rabbits]. I nipped out with the S410K last night and got a dozen rabbits but noticed a lot of mixy rabbits about and they are spreading further afield It doesn't look promising.
  7. Tried them years ago they were sh!t in the gun I had. I'm surprised at the results with the eley wasps always found them to be a decent pellet. What gun have you got mate?
  8. It was my nickname when I was a kid, don't know where it came from

  10. The humble bunny, day and night.
  11. £1.50 skinned and gutted or 75p gutted.
  12. Mixy on some of my ground already Blackbob, this bit gets it every year without fail It's early this year though, don't usually get it untill August.
  13. .22 calibre,I would prefer a .177 but didn't have a choice. The 410k in my opinion is brilliant.I put 7 magazines [70 shots] through the rifle tonight and it was still spot on,though I believe Air Arms say you get 60 consistent shots.
  14. My mate Tam and I were asked to try and make a hole in the feral pigeon population in one of the council depots on the outskirts of Dumfries. Most of the ferals are in an old 10 story building.I shot with the AA S410K and Tam done the lamping for the darker floors,we were there from 6pm untill 7.30pm. I shot over 60 ferals some of them weren't recovered,we did pick up 39 for ferret food.Hoping to get another shot at them in the near future.
  15. Myth,I've had ferrets for over 20 years and any jill that I've not bred off has remained in season without any adverse effects. If you keep them clean you won't have any problems.
  16. "what is it about dogs that draws us to them" quote Bob. In your case mate it'll be the fact that you can give them a "good kicking" without getting an ASBO especially a collie X. By the way where did that thread go to?
  17. "he has been walked through them with a couple of good boots" A bit over the top Digsy. Just keep walking him through them and if he does show an interest give him a sharp tug on the lead shouting no at the same time. I'm in the process of showing my bitch Amy some sheep, after walking through them I get her to lie down and tell her to stay then I walk 20 yards away, usually the sheep come over to the dog out of curiosity.I keep giving her the stay command and she lies there no probs as the sheep sniff round about her. Then I move forwards all the time giving Amy the stay comm

  19. Good bag there Frank. Any mixy on your ground? I thought I was going to have a bumper year with rabbits this year but mixy has arrived already
  20. I must have killed hundreds of rabbits with my B2 .177, even when shooting at targets I found the grouping was good. But a couple of years ago my mate was shooting with it when I was lamping and he couldn't kill a thing he was hitting them and they were up and running. Luckily I had the lurcher with me so they didn't get far . I thought my mate was just shooting sh!t But found out differently when I had a zeroing session the pellets were all over the place. I tried different scopes, checked the seals, made sure all the screws were tight etc but it made no difference couldn't
  21. I dont want to imagine what happens when they kill underground, a basic lack of respect for the animal is the problem as well as a limited understanding of the species basic needs Is the word you're hunting for "clueless", ferretlove?
  22. You either haven't got a clue Walsher,or you are having a wind up How many times are you going to contradict yourself on the one thread? Why do you bother feeding the odd rabbit if bread and milk sops are the real deal? I take it you are a "follower" rather than a leader going by your quote above. Because EVERYONE ELSE does it is no reason for you to do it. It seems that EVERYONE ELSE on this forum feeds meat so I take it you being a "follower" will be feeding meat from now on.
  23. Mostly rabbits but also pigeons, crows, rooks, fish heads and tails, all natural NEVER BREAD AND MILK Never been able to see the value to feeding a ferret bread and milk.
  24. The man that reared greyhound pups for me in Ireland wouldn't put them out into the paddocks untill they were a certain age. When I asked why he told me it was because he'd lost the odd pup to foxes in the past. There is no doubt that a fox could kill a young pup easily if it wanted,so it isn't such a stupid question as you might think.
