  5. The Grilse have definatley arrived here's one that was caught on the DGAA this morning by a friend of mine, Kenny. It weighed 6lb's and was got on a flying'c'.
  6. highlander we are having the best run of sea trout in years mate our river has had them in good numbers for over a month Well I must say you are very lucky I have hardly seen a trout all year in the estuary or the river. Even the boys that fish for them all the time aint even going out because its such a waste of time. Regards highlander. It's a similair story here on the Nith highlander, there are some sea trout in the middle reaches but they are few and far between.
  7. I bought 6z nets from them over 20 years ago Frank and I'm still using them
  8. Just stand still when you're trying to measure "them" ferretlove
  9. Went out for an hour to drown some worms tonight Saw two Grilse jump at the top boards on the DGAA water on the Nith. I put the worms down through them numerous times but got no offers. Before I headed home I chose to spin the tail of the pool with a flying c,I got this wee fella right in the tip of the tail of the pool.2lb 11oz and minted, that's the first grilse I know of caught on our beat. As far as sea trout go they seem to be next to none stopping in the DGAA stretch, but speaking to the bailiffs today there aren't many about regardless of where you go
  10. Both will do the job

  17. It's been 4 weeks since Tam and I were at the ferals so we paid them a visit tonight. First shot I had resulted in the plastic/perspex cover on the 10 shot magazine falling apart meaning it could only hold 3 pellets We did manage to shoot about 35-40 ferals,we picked up 25 for the ferrets. No doubt we'll be back for another go in the future
