I had a half hour out this morning with the young jill ferret I got off Gibby,I took Amy along it was her first ferreting trip aswell.I left the purse nets at home as I'd probably spend most of my time resetting the nets every time the ferret or lurcher pulled them off. Once I had the locater collar on the jill I put her down infront of the first bury,in and out she went a few times never going that far from the mouth of the bury.This was to be expected,usually I'd start a youngster with an older experienced ferret but the older jill I had died during the week. Crackin' video,I was out last night with the pup as well. The wind makes a big difference.It's been a while since I've seen as many rabbits about. Storm is coming on a treat WH,he's looking good.

Had another hour out with Amy tonight,the wind was having a right blow so couldn't resist a trek out.It's been a while since I saw so many rabbits sat out, a long way from their buries aswell.I tried to pick out the easiest rabbits for the young bitch. In the first field Amy caught 4 from 6 runs and retrieved them reasonably well although she is still stopping short.I gutted the 4 rabbits before I went into the next field which gave Amy a short break. She drew a blank in the next field from 5 runs.So it was back through the first field again and she picked up 2 rabbits from 2 runs.

Don't know if this will be any help mate but it has cured many skin problems for my dogs over the years. Benzine benzanate "don't know if this is the correct spelling". But its good gear you will most likely have to get a good chemist to mix it for you. Greyhound trainers have used it for years on their dogs when they lose the hair on the back of their thighs.

Frank I feed Amy Gain 28% which says on the front of the bag- "For high performance,also suitable for pups" Is that the same as the Gain you are on about?

Hey Frank,anybody would think you are the marketing manager for Red Mills We can either choose Red Mills,Red Mills,Red Mills, Gain or other. I tried the greyhounds on Red Mills once years ago Won't be trying it again, they were sh!tting like dairy cows My pup gets Gain 28% aswell as raw rabbit. The greyhounds get a pound of either beef/chicken or turkey a day mixed in with thier nuts which I get off my mate who owns a pet shop.
