what do you mean when you say outcrossed ? how do you know the breeding behind the dogs anyway to say they are outcrossed ? the little red female is Chaz x Damage, the male is R.S. Tom (Chaz x Tilly) x Melonhead (R.C. Barry x Leen). the male , as you can see is "outcrossed", and there is no need to "add a name" to them in a certain way. one surely does not have to hide the breeding behind the dogs. and be sure they are ,and work, decent enough. and one thing more, i see no reason why someone should not be happy when one is posting honest posts...by the way i am not posting to make people happy

hello to everyone, i was talking with a friend a few days ago, and we had a conversation about the use of purebred staffords (or in general bullbreeds) for earthwork. he was saying that he was told that there are some lines of f.ex. pure working staffords (not patterdale x bull crosses) that were selectively bred for less size so that they can work through the earths without problem. i was and still am not sure if i can believe this is true since he could not name a kennel or something, and therefore i am asking here. for me there are a lot of aspects that would speak against something l

hello to everyone, in my oppinion every dog can be made to quit..after all they are only made from flesh and blood. and i think it makes a big difference if a dog quits at his first fox, or even at his 10 th fox because he got seriuosly mixed up, or if it will not work anymore after a hundred foxes and badgers etc. if a dog quits at his first few foxes the dog is a cur in my oppinion or if he quits after his first real hard contact even if he had bolted a lot of foxes before it is also a cur in my oppinion (of course when he was given time to mature before entered) the reasons for a do

the meet of the badger has a very good taste..in germany some people eat them, and i have to say it is very tasteful. also the fat from the badger is used for different things. it has very good health effect when put on wounds etc..the only negative effect: it smells very bad. about badger( i am talking about the hunting of it in germany , the months when it is allowed): @ erik do you work the dog on everything or exclusively on badger ? how does it work on fox..same style as wit badger or does it ajust its "style"? i am asking since i want also work my dog in the future more with badger

hello, i would also like to say a few things about the link and the pictures in it. i personally was disgusted by the pictures shown on the linked site, and i do not have anything against gameness of a dog!!! what i do not like is unnaccesary suffering from animals that are not bred for gameness like our terriers, like these foxes that fight to survive etc that are shown with very bad injuries. i do not know how these trials are held, but for me the fotos show no respect at all for these creatures (and humanity), a respect that in my oppinion they deserve! the fotos can not convince anybody

Hello Whitser, the best thing to try to "start" your ´terrier in such a case is to try to enter it together with a earthdog that he allready knows, so you are sure they do not get into a fight underground. i know that it is not the best, and normally to avoid to enter two at a time, but in this case maybe it is one good way. i saw a young terrier more than once, that was not really interested in entering, flying through an earth when he entered right behind an older dog that he knew well. first they examined an empty earth together, than an occupied earth, the older dog worked the young

is my post f*****g invisable??????? no it is not Fellman, i just can not stand the f.... words for no reason.... hello to you! i could not answer more quickly, since i am normally not much into the internet things (and do not want to in the future) and only posted a few times. also in this messegeboard since i think it is very interesting. i told steezy that i am very pleased with the developement of my dog. that he is really intelligent when it comes to work, is hard but not stupid in his work and tries in no way to "avoid" his fox. a few weeks ago he worked in a very impressive way f

hello to everybody, i am writing from germany and wanted to post a pic of my 2.5 year old patterdale dog. from his father side his breeding goes back to pickaxe chaz and tilly. My dog shows to be a very good worker so far, with lots of intelligence, hard when needed and very game. until now he has 10 foxes and two badgers (in germany badger is legal three months a year). best regards Chris
