    How long do you think a pup would last if it was agressive, 9 months is no age to have fully developed its character, give it time and you will see a change. Not being funny mate but i wouldnt have an agressive dog, worker yes but agressive no chance.

    Ive had whippets ranging from 16lb to nearly 40lb and my experience of them is as follows, when i was racing them the racing weights were 16 to 32 lbs now the bigger dogs ran from scratch and the smaller dogs were given a yard per lb advantage eg a 25lb dog was given 7yards over a 32lb dog and so on, now the bigger dogs would nearly always gain yardage on a smaller dog.     How in hells name did no one manage to persuade the authorities as to this sickos activities.     Laughable folk complaining about the poor akita being strangled how many of you would have done anything different would you be so brave with that thing gyrating on the end of your arm, i think not. True the wardens had about the same IQ as the subhuman mongs that owned them dogs, but bear this in mind how many attacks are attributed to staffys and ebt. pit bull types seems to me that some people on this site have a degree of sympathy, and refuse to face the facts that these types do have an underlying high degree of agression in their nature.

    Right mate so you say your new to the game, my advice would be to get one pup, to train two at the same time takes experience and loads of patience, bond with the dog and dont rush it do your homework, and take the time and effort to train it properly starting with the basic commands, then retreiveing, and then the more advanched training. long haul ahead, but worth it if you want a proper lurcher not just a slip and kill running dog.
