  1. I've got a 10 week old 1st x collie greyhound dog puppy and he pisses constantly - no matter how many times you take him outside. You can have him out one minute and 2 minutes later he's pissing again. If he wakes up you'll go to take him out and by the time you are at the door he's pissing down the steps, if you pick him up to go out he will piss on you. He's not nervous and is a happy wee chap. I realise he's only 10 weeks old but there's been little or no progress since bringing him home at 7 weeks. He has never shit in the house at all, is eating well and I don't think he is drinking overm
  2. I wonder what you have to do to become Mr Gay UK??? Being a copper mite be a good start!!!
  3. So, what do you dip your fox snares in?
  4. Just use new ones. Once they're misshapen, kinked, twisted and it's difficult to reshape a good loop I just get rid of them.
  5. nice dogs mate Love them mate - crackers!!!!!
  6. Ha Ha Ha bought the f****r from gumtree - aye it'll be well bred then eh? f*****g dolt!!!!!!! Bet you don't know the guy you bought it from. You'll be studding it out within the year but remember keep the breeding a secret!!!! Stupid wee c**t!!!! Ha Ha Ha f*****g gumtree!!!! Knock yersel oot eh
  7. Why don't you know what lines it's from. Did the breeder not explain this to you? Strange! The breeder is a very close friend, who knows his dogs , so i dont ask qustions Not getting that one mate. He's a very good friend so you don't ask questions? So, you really don't want to know how your pup was bred. Maybe he don't know his dogs and has no idea how it's bred. That really is the strangest answer I've read in a while. I don't give two bags of sheepshit how the dog's bred but I have a funny feeling you haven't got a clue how it's bred to be honest???? And why the whistling????

  11. Well if it's 3 months old now that means it was born early March so it'll be a year old in March 2012. I'd wait until Autumn 2012 when you'll have plenty young 'green' foxes running about and he'll be 18 months old. The best fox dog I ever had didn't kill a fox until he was almost 3 years old and I killed over 150 with him. atb
  12. Yeah - I've got a tip - don't run it on foxes at 8 months old as it will get its 'f****n-c**t' kicked in mate. Nothing surer!

  14. Yeah - the pups look fantastic - and if they're exactly whay you're after get going mate. 4 1/2 hours is nothing but an excuse. Get the pup bought. The parents look great.
  15. My 1st x collie greyhound pup joined us at 7 weeks old. We've had him three weeks now and he spends his nights in the kitchen with my old Border terrier and for the first couple of nights he made a bit of a noise for about 20 mins but he has been quiet since and sleeps all through the night.
  16. f*****g priceless this lot - aaaahhhhrrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Hey Terrier.Man.Mark dunno about bull X pups but you still take the prize for the best thread I've ever read on THL. What was it called again - that's right 'Phone Call' and it was on the Terrier & Earthdog sub forum. Have a wee look lads - f*****g priceless. Hopefully it'll still be there. Starts off pretty normal but...wait for it???
  18. J Dog - not being picky mate but you posted the text below at 4.18pm today and it appears that your dog is jumping - yet tonight you're asking for advice regarding getting your dog to jump? Didn't you post this - "Lol let the dog have a go over fence see what happens my pup is skimming but when it comes to the barbed wire the dog knows that there ain't much room to plant feed on it so he clears it. I was thinking the same thing as you but I just let him have a go and it went well atb mate"
  19. Well, you'll just have to describe this 'mint' dog in glorious technicolour detail then!
  20. I picked up a 15 week collie greyhound from the breeder in December. It was a f*****g nightmare. Worst I've ever seen in my life. The hardcore barking and howling doesn't happen anymore but it took weeks to get to a manageable level. Even now when we are out he whinges and never settles 100%. He is by far the most difficult dog I've ever lived with. On the flip side of the coin however, he is a fanatical retriever both hidden and thrown, he is one of the most obedient dogs I've ever owned, athletic jumper fazed by nothing, sit & stay over 400m unsighted halting on command. He's 9 months ne
  21. She could injure herself but then again she might not. Life's full of 'ifs' or 'buts' Just do it!
  22. thanks for that comment, i knew someone was going to say it, missus not happy it last week cheers Why's your Mrs not happy? It's funny how often 'the Mrs' isn't happy in the lurcher/terrier world? I'd get that sorted out mate - then deal with the dog?
  23. You're making a really good job of rearing that pup son. All the best with her. She looks real good.
  24. You wrote that "I've give her a good smacking then takes the huff can't seem to get through to her" and you wonder why she won't come back to you. Think about it? Tell you what mate if you really were typing the above through gritted teeth as you say you were maybe you should sell the dog before it's totally ruined and take up paintballing!!!
