  1. Thank you for all your interesting replies, Stig i like the idea of your fencing which allow me to put the sheep in the area to keep the grass down as well. (no not at the same time as the dogs before anyone says it) We are putting up a small chain link area for a winter solution and then looking at the whole area to fence inside the hedge so that sounds very similar to yours. I dont think i would use rabbit mesh which i have to say around here doesnt even keep the rabbits out lol.... Not sure about electric fencing it only takes one whack on the ponies and they wont go near it for months. Co

  7. I have 1.5 acres to eventually fence off but in the first instance want to fence off just a small area and add to as finances allow. Not sure what it will cost.
  8. I have a small field that i want to fence to keep my patterdales in but allow them to have some freedom time instead of in the kennels when they are not walking or working. I am thinking of chain link that is also dug into the ground to stop them digging out, anyone else done anything like this and what height to prevent them jumping out? Is there any other type of fencing that you would recommend? Anyone on here that is a fencing contractor in Devon that would like to quote me a price pm me if your interested please? No daft or idiot replies please.

  10. My first litter of patterdale pups and before anyone says anything they are not for sale they are all being kept to be worked by local hunt terrier man. All 4 are doing well at 2 weeks old. The sire is the local hunt terrier mans dog.

  18. Surely if the vet wrongly diagnosed they should cough up towards the operation . But, if she is in a bad way it may be kinder to let her go and change your vet for the future. Have you thought about getting a second opinion from a different vet Good luck
  19. I have a patterjack puppy bitch 8 weeks old ready now not docked so not for working may suit you if you havent found anything yet and Im in Devon.
  20. It always very sad to read a post regarding a loss, its like losing a family member. It aches and hurts and at least us ladies seem to get away with a darn good cry. Very sorry.
