1. Lurcher had bald nose and patches on ears and back legs - like you I tried everything and spent a fortune in vets. Was recommended raw diet with boiled rice and teaspoon of kelp powder in it. Within weeks there was a marked improvement. The hair on nose grew back for the first time in 4 years. Its getting better each day so I would say give that a go, worth a try?
2. Heres a couple when she was young.
3. Any old photos that you lads/lasses would like to share - would love to see them. Perhaps your first dog, or an old dog you've got now from when it was young?
4. The JRTs first bunny kill - LOL it was quite a funny occasion!
Those last 8 yrs have flown by! Good times. Happy hunting!
5. My Mrs found these old photos of my old terrier and old lurcher when they were young. Must say looking at these brought back alot of happy memories. Just thought I'd share a few with you. Hope you like them. I'll be gutted when anything happens to these dogs.
6. good mate. Loads of energy. Have taken her out a few times with her mother and she seemed to pay little attention as she wa too busy messing about. I don't run them properly until their about 12 months normally but I want her used to the lamp and the principles come Sept/Oct. She's had a few runs and one course she did 6-7 turns, she overruns at the moment but gets back on them very quick, she went straight into hedge after it! Pleased with her returning though - straight after course she's straight back, so all in all I'm hoping she'll do well.
7. Smashers - I like your second pick best - goihg on looks alone - but you know their personalities and that's giong to have alot to do with which one you keep. Hows Crush getting on?
8. its because the lurcher world is very fickle mate, but i agree, some of it still makes for good reading
9. i use the 22 amp with a night eye lamp and its fantastic, can go out on 3 maybe 4 nights out 4 hours at a time with it before it starts dipping into the red,the new lithium ion batteries have a power gauge which i find very handy.

hunting ban

this is an interesting thread, simply for the fact that the anti's that do moniter this site may "LEARN" or try to understand what they are up against when they try an supress the hunting people of the world.love the piont about man an wolf hunting together since the dawn of time, would have loved to see how that arrangement started but can onlly assume it was not to different from today, found a pup an reared it as part of the team, with a few minor differences of course.(no bill's,no cars,no anti's saying you should'nt kill that wooly mammoth for food "cos its cruel"). ok so we maynot have t
14. I asked the question of pure salukis on a couple of threads about a month ago and got only one reply.
15. I think its a shit thing to happen.I've not bred alot, but on my last litter I asked for a deposit when they selected which pup they wanted. If you really want a pup you'll find £50 upfront.
16. Obviously not been out with whippets enough then. Cus i know they can do the job. Well they use to (preban ovcorse I've seen pure whippets preban take a fox - the runs I've seen have been a bit of a battle tho. My whip/grey can take an average size one no probs - the biggest one she came across was 26lb dog fox(biggest one I've ever seen too!) though and it was a tough job for her - but saying about heart - she didn't give up. (preban!)
17. Hi just a question and I'd appreciate your thoughts please. Pup is 8 months old now - good as gold around family, kids, other dogs on walks etcetc. However, with our own dogs she's starting to develop signs of aggression - so to start with this was happening around feeding time and she'd be bullying the others off their food, so now she's fed in the pen with the others out so they can get some peace. Then she started going for the bull x for no real reason - and more recently having a pop at the mother too. Both older dogs seem to let her get away with it and don't have a go back? Both
