  1. Two questions here really - would appreciate your thoughts/advice: Currently I feed my dogs every day - however, a mate of mine says you should clem (fast) them one day a week. What are your thoughts on this - and if you do fast them one day a week - do you choose to do it on a day when you know you won't be working them? Secondly - after all the advice on here I've gradually moved my dogs from complete dog food over to BARF diet. I'm giving it with some cooked rice, cooked veg/fuit and sometimes fish in oil - obviously they're loving it - volume wise though it doesn't look too much and
  2. REally are good - wish I could take a shot half as good as them. The dogs a beauty too mate!
  3. I'm certainly going to go back to vets now I've read the posts on here - and ask why the f**k they can't do it when everyone else can?? Was suprised with pet rescue place as it was only a £10 and I wanted my pup done there and then (you know when they have these road show things). Thanks for the advice. BTW - my other three dogs are chipped - wouldn't have it any other way - its a bit of piece of mind.
  4. You can't get pups chipped until they are 6 months old. As above, yes ye can. Iv had a few terrier pups from 8 weeks old, they all came ready chipped. They have to be due to the docking. My beagle x jack was 10 months when i got him and i had him chipped same time as the jabs. All of my dogs chips have migrated, usually down one of the front legs. I dread to think what might become of a running dog if the chip migrates along the spine or lodges in some other joint. Has anyone any experience of this? It's rare for chips to migrate but does happen. I'd be surprised if all

  6. 42lb 23tts 1/2 greyhound, 7/8 whippet, 1/8 deerhound bitch I have does them no problem - quick and efficient - except for the last one which was a battle (22lb dog fox)b*****d even bit me foooking welly! - put the 1/4 bull on it to finish it quick.
  7. Went on second day of the last Waterloo cup, knowing that this would be my last chance - didn't go down well with the misses as it was Valentines Day! Freezing cold, got there early, stood on the banks - the anti's rocked up about 11ish - shouted their shit for about 45mins then pissed off - thats commitment for you! There was only 6 kills all day (10% approx) and 1 was in front of anti's - big cheer went up but it wasn't for dogs catching hare - more a big F you to the anti's. To add humour to the day some pissed up guy started stripping off only to be confronted by one of the stewards who
  8. Have you organised it yet lads? Let us know the outcome - will be interesting.
  9. Some great dogs lads - Here;s a few of our Gyp.
  10. Enjoy the shows in the summer for nice day out with family. Bitch came in last 6 (u 23") in Midland Game Fair 4 years ago (which was totally unexpected) - she's 6 now - too grey, too scarred up for showing. Totally agree about the competitiveness of shows though - it spoils it - there is always someone with something bad to say. If I see someone with a good dog - I tell them and ask about breeding etc. Enjoy getting them down to the greyhound track and lure coursing too for a blow off.
  11. Hes a smart looking dog mate - really like the look of him. Like the post box to his kennel LOL!
  12. Cheers for the comments. Made up with her. She looks like shes following the sires side more than my bitches, she's v long and can't half shift. A couple of new pics added after a mooch out after tea tonight.

Our pup is with another dog - but when she hears us she comes o
  17. Cheers for the responses - its always interesting to hear what others have seen. Don't normally weigh them either mate, but because its the biggest one I've ever caught, I took it up to the farmer, whose land it was on , we weighed it there. He was very happy farmer to say the least!
  18. Hi All, With all the articles about this 34lb fox shot in 2009 what is the biggest fox that you have caught (pre ban) or shot? Urban or Rural? Mine was rural and 21lb which I thought was big until reading these articles. I should imagine that the urban fox is heavier as a rule due to the easy pickings and daft arses that feed them!
  19. Thank you Skycat - - I appreciate your help and will certainly try out what you suggest - where would you buy kelp powder from - is it readily available - I've not heard of it. Again -thanks and will hopefully sent you pictures showing improvement.
