I appreciate the hound hunting explanation, thank you. that sounds like an absolute rip, never done it except for racoons & deer in the south. that must be a fun, fun day. i've concluded it's very tough here w/out hounds & a group. we've popped several out over time, but some close, no hope though in cover & a bunch several hundred yds away w/all 3 dogs still in the bush...couple sh**te deals but no major players, but i have to travel to hunt them,,..the forest ones are tough to call in close enough for dogs...very

    not sure what you mean ,,, dog hound wolf wild cross.. well a bush wolf is a wild dog ,, it breeds with our domesict dogs even today . they must weed themsells out some how.. the crosses when your female pet gets it from a bushwolf. then you end up with more bush wolves .. and if one is tamable ,,because they go wild as they grow and it may run away .. the ones that stay tame,, stare allot . not much good even as a pet ..but kind hrearted soles care for them.. not sure but we baged yotes that looked like giant foxes ,, but that yotes tail is not the same ..it made

    well after breeding the two on the right dagger and marg , then eddies terrier ,,well all the terreirs were good hunters after that breeding . hunt all day with little damage ,,real bayers.. the eddie terrier bred by eddie was $3000 after importing ,, I bought that terrrier for $500 from a lady

    looks like yours .in montreal.. could have bred him to a lurcher but used a different pit.this pit is a relative to exported pits .i used one with longer legs and bigger ,, golden in color . my bud that set me up for the pits,,he is dead now . but he was a breeder exporter .bred champions ..H eused i beleive dogs from another breeder that had pasted on as well I think one pit went to uk ...very strick breeding on real pits here at the time . but thats over ,, tom

    no ,, my last russel died of old age 12 years old blind from my breeding . the dogs before were sick with .. this summer blindnes and all,,,,,, grip and forgot ,,, gype.. makes blind terreirs the others raccoon para. sold them .. i brough red fells over the pond .. the ones the=at bay . i sold them off. only one went to a hunters breeding home the bulls sold to farmers and only 4 got good homes ,,hunters my whippet greyhound bull luchers get ripped badly . sold my russels well after all those commercials on tv , only pet people phoning so sold them all off.     hi stunt man i forgot about lawrence 's hounds I was thinking of the dogs lately .. but one of the hunters is in his last year of hunting ,bad heart hunt til you cannot moto .. he had a hound that wanted and did kill yotes and got tore up ''big mean hound dog '' and stays in the dog house to recover while the rest of the dogs are hunting not too good . hey guys remember the yote often stops in the feild and the dog just stands and bayes somtimes .., but yote does not run ,just standing looking around sometimes for an hour ,, always different hey all ayote here? more tee

    hi I should have Known STUNTMAN. I am thinking about lurchers again .. my wife wants a saluki .but i can only have one more dog. the hounds killed only 3 yotes wait no more then that but not many . thats when we had lost or got caught up following other dogs . but my dog blaze killed one by herself after she ran to town and ran where people walk their dogs . I got a phone call from someone walking in the park '..blood everywher he said and yote looks dead . so now the dogs over at ridge road ok .scared now for a fine ..well there blaze was walking with a young child and their family

    yes for lurches in the right area to run and get into your truck with dogs ready to run with trap doors and coyotes are dead ducks .coyote if they cannot catch it, buy dogs that can. twenty years ago in the usa there were lurchers that could do the job .not sure what became of them. or the hunters TL-They are right here , but they really couldnt do the job I found out later Is this you-> I gave you two mali/gh x's right? That was aloooooong time ago,and I hunted even had one of those GF lurchers from Juan Rico Suave. My thoughts are with your wife

    like this post the wild dog looks small.for a wolf . A woman was killed in canada the east coast ,, coyotes killed her..SHE WAS A DOCTOR ..bush wolf can be nasty ...within the last few years worse.. larger yotes going south I believe to the usa. the hounds we have from the usa seem smart. and hardly get hurt .. we have this little hound female with heart .. too much heart fisrt thing we knew she's beating the heckout of any yote when she first started ,, crazy little hound cross ,,for yote s.. now we know so we are very carfull if a yote has been wounde and we run

    nice thomas. what was the technique? dogs? shotgun or rifle? how many hounds do you run on the coyotes? do you drive the farms until they hit hot scent or just drop them in a likely area? tracking collars? i like those plotts. i know a guy who runs a brace for racoon & bobcat & a few times they've gone for deer behind their pens, before he has them collared,lol. he gets si p'oe'd. it was all night once, lol. ever x the hounds w/any terriers? those bears tear up a lot of dogs? it must be wild running them in those jungle forest. cheers & thanks,

    I like the bear thing I have a knife specially made to kill abear.. her,the knife's ,name is FLO.lol now i just hunt yotes full of bears just north. no more spring bear hunt here ..you can run and get one per day . if baited in the summer with chocolate . Bears addicted to chocolate ..lol wow what a dog .. wow I weigh 148 pounds ..so that means that i fly behind that . i just need small wings and hold on,,..lol so impressive that dog looks like it could tree a wolf...LOL

    its because they introduce them ..there are wild packs though.and when you live some where and these show up ne ....,.././ image introducing them to your countries .. the hawk tries to eat my pigeons but the hawk sure is pretty to look at because it dodges by me at 15 feet..hawks potected as well.never have i thought of hurting it .. thomas, thank you & good luck from all. nice. how long are the hound chases usually? w/the fresh dogs & w/out? that falling block probably shoots sweet & flat. cheers, hi ,, untill they loose the scent trail. we can chase all day

    funny, our turkeys from the usa had tracking collars ..some of them just shoot one and and there is trouble coming..but now we have a season for hunting them Also the wolves in algonquin park have collars .. they count everything ..sort of protected there

    good shooting .. my best shot was 3/4 mile running coyote. 22-250 we seen only 2 large wolves here in 30 years not as big as that monster.and they ran from the dogs.two together , good thing the dogs were chasing a bush wolf,the wolves disappeared and we never seen them again .and we hunt almost every day in the winter .at least our gang does // my wife is ill and i am giving her all my time this year .. first year off from hunting .SO now i am a internet ,,want tobe hunting computer chair hunter hasbeen .and did it lol with tears tom

    Very funny.Canadians breed faster than wolves do. We would be over run in no time. lol ATB keep this under your hat ..lads well its the french canadian ladies that look so lovely .. my wife is french ,,,haha and she reads my threads ,,, that is why no canadians go lamping ,,LOLOLOOL ,, and we make lamping against the law ...hehe Also a good trip would be to visit ottawa canada and party and drink and go at the strip joints .. tom

    There are mate but lets face it nobody is going to invite someone to travel thousands of miles to stay at their home without at least getting to know them first or having some form of reference first sell top lurchers to americans and then ................................................. ginger french came to Canada and stayed at my home but no hunting .. there is a way but .. maybe times have changed . I bought lurchers and terriers from UK to Canada and they were recordered as have entered North america . thats how I ended up knowing the hunters in the area canada usa. sold s

    hi I wondered why the authorities would trade for canadian timber wolves . thats nuts ... and how big are your largest timber wolves ??150 pounds and up. they could have asked for a more reasonable size predator.. Like canadian Hunters !!!!!LOLOLO and a HEHE tom

    i've been hunting in africa, we hunted jackal,baboon,caracal and warthog. i missed out by a few weeks on a leopard hunt. they use english foxhounds,rhodesian ridgebacks,boerboels,jack russells and lurchers. VERY NICE >>>>AFRICA I had started a few bluetick hound dogs in this area where i live . NIce cold scent hound . any way some breeder hunters are importing into africa these type dogs for cat or lion .so maybe you will see the bluetick hound dog work.they are bred to the point of running no deer and good quarry only .but here in canada we can chase deer with dogs so a
