  1. you can tell this isnt a fishing forum. These things may have been said, but i got sick of reading the ignorant stuff half way through so stopped. First off, in this country, for the most part, we fish freshwater for sport. We fish for specimen fish which we catch, admire, and then release so the fish can grow bigger and someone else have a chance of catching it. We take care of our large fish (and small fish), which is why we use things like soft mesh nets and unhooking mats instead of gaffs and hooks. So any large fish that is killed by a careless angler is a sad moment for any PR
  2. i fished at Culton Lakes a few years ago. It was in the summer and i was carpin but i saw a good double come out of there. Just had a quick look on the webiste and ther some nice p***y pics. http://www.fisheries.co.uk/a12cutonlakes/index.htm
  3. i honestly would forget about a stillwater and take the she males advice and get on the severn. temp means the pike will hardly be feeding at all in a freezing stillwater and you'll have much better chance on the rivers.
  4. congrats mate! Did you catch in these conditions or is this from earlier in the year? I had my first english 40 lst year from baden hall. The first time you see that massive head....wow!
  5. i baliff a little carp pond. only about an acre and a half. Got a call one night that there were some poles poaching. Got down an the poles had gone but the net had got snagged on an old underwater valve so luckily they didnt get anything. We've since had to put up a camera but strangely enough, they've never been back. Maybe something scared them off before i got there! dun dun dunnnnnn
