    How much open space do you need for daily training/flying? For example, i have lots of shooting land, 100's of acres, but i have to drive to all of it. I do however, have a very big park just a short walk away with an open area that is like 5 acres. Is this enough and are there any laws that would stop me? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=woodbank+park&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=vl heres the area. the area iam thinking is in the bend of the river. have a look on the sat map and you will see it is about 8 football pitches enclosed by woodland.

    a red light is good when the rabbits have become shy of a bright white light. BUT, ive got an ND3 now and for me its the bollocks, although i have heard of other people not getting on with them!

    Has anyone watched any of these yet? I was aware of discarding and fishing quotas before but didnt know it was like this. 20-30lb cod being thrown away cos thats not what their fishing for, tons of decent fish being dumped dead. Its a proper, proper shame but its good to see how much momentum and support this campaign has got, i think they might actually be able to acheive something.     i live in Stockport, home of 4 Mercian. Bet some of the lads i know would like to know how you go on. And being a soldier doesnt guarantee your competence or sense. I saw a soldier in the shop near me once pickin up air rifles thinkin they were live firing, then whipped his forces card and claimed that meant he could purchase any gun. Never seen a redder face after gun licenses were explained to him. Was that you by any chance?

    The British record is 46lb from Llandgfed (think thats spelt right) reservoir. Its doubtful that it will ever be beaten as 40+ fish are becoming rarer and rarer.

    ive not seen any but on a 3 acre lake near me the ice was so thick that it started to sink when it thawed a little. Ive been more worried about that as the lake is only 5 ft in its deepest!

    Has anyone been to the British Shooting Show in Newark? Is is it anygood? I think the only thing thats ever put me off is the time of year. Is it worth the rain and mud, which we usally get in the summer anyway!

    Kent Velocitys 6's 32gm, Cheshire Gun Room near me are about £46 per 250. Not bad for the money ive had quite a lot of the past few months haha
