they catch plenty gear so Im quite happy to be a big girl and bring a towel along to rub my shivering whippets down with, each to their own, its bodies in the bag (or freezer) that count

had some great bags on really windy drizzly nights, the main thing to watch when running thinner coated dogs is that they dont get too wet and shivery between runs, take an old towel with you and when you take the dog back to the motor, give them a good rub down, heaters on full blast etc, and then again when you get home make sure they are fully warm and dry before bedding them down for the night as for the safety bit any run could be a dogs last it doesnt have to be windy. they are working dogs and should be taken good care of but not wrapped in cotton wool

I got a u caller off ebay and the switch broke after lamping just a couple of rabbits. cheap bit of crap IMO but other people seem to get along fine with them?

I never charge more than the basic price of the chip because its something everyone should have done. Put it this way if every dog was chipped there would be far less problems with overflowing rescues and pounds because dogs would be more traceable and owners more accountable. Of course theres always the ones who dont update their details etc, but it would go a long way towards helping the problem and the type of owner who just dump their dogs or let them roam the streets, might think twice about doing it if they think they are going to end up with a bill from the rescue centre or a prosecutio

our old high school was right next to an abbatoir never bothered the thousands of kids who went to school there for years and years. course nowadays thats considered "wrong" but back then it wasnt? mad but I hear what your saying. Personally I think if your allowed to be doing something then you shouldnt have to hide it from anyone, but perhaps Im alone in this thinking.

Just been reading this article from the bbc scotland news site http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-12309708 Personally, I think its ridiculous that people who are legally and legitimately shooting deer should have to "cover up" any aspect of what they do. If you live in the countryside and you see deer culling being carried out and deer being transported, and you dont like it, then FUCKOFF back to wherever you came from and let country people get on with what they have been doing for hundreds of years! Crazy isnt it? one of the places where I hunt there are more squigs than rabbits, they are absolutely everywhere -
its still legal to kill rabbits and rats with dogs the police really are misinformed idiots at times, if you have permission from the farmer your doing nothing wrong. What a waste of time them coming out to you like that just because some busybody phoned them, like you say if it had been a pensioner getting robbed or someone burgling a house they wouldnt be in any rush to pay you a visit

so if im reading this right, if your allready banned from driving and sitting in the passenger seat you'll be ok, but if you have a clean license and your sitting in the passenger seat you could also get a driving ban? thats crazy if thats true you lads have it quite tough down there

Just a wee warning to anyone thinking of buying one of these lamps I got one off Ebay thinking it would be handy to have a spare lamp and plus I had read a few good things about them on here, well what a waste of money yes they are cheaper than lightforce lamps but as the saying goes, buy cheap, buy twice. I will be lucky if I have used mine for an hour in total and lamped maybe 10 rabbits with it and the switch went so if your thinking about one of these lamps to try and save money, be warned.
