oh yea thanks for that bigdaz,,i read it and now i realise fully,,,,,but try telling that to my five year old son last year when he was crying his eyes out over his dog that died in its sleep

ive always thought pets were family,,thats why theyre called family pets isnt it,,we dont all use ferrets as tools,then replace them when they get old and worn out,,,,,,my kids love my ferrets,as im sure do lots of other peoples kids love their pets,,,,

if i took him to the vet and he cost me loads,,hes worth it mate as are all of my stinkers,,,,i dont work them so im not gaining rabbits etc,,,i get a lot of satisfaction just knowing im giving these creatures the best life i can while theyre alive,,they dont live long,,so i think i owe it to em to give em the best i can ,,,,,,,,i would only ever have one put to sleep if i was in the interest of the animal that it was best to be put down,,and i wouldnt even consider hitting it on the head to kill it or snap its neck,,,,some on here would dissagree with my views,,but everyones entitled to thei

been to the vets,,his prolapse has gone back in,,his lungs and heart are both good,,his nose is wet,,,,he is healthy,,,,,,the wet rear end is probably where he walks low to the floor rather than hunching up and walking on tiptoes like the others,,excellent news...cost,,,,,,£23.33p.......well worth it for peace of mind.......took him to a vet that deals with exotic pets,,,,,so theyre used to ferrets,,,,,,,

hi my recent addition smiggles is wet around his willy/bum area,,,,,,he looks to have a slight anal prolapse as theres a bit of pink sticking out of his bum,,,its very small,though,,,,he seems a bit snuffly as well,,,,ive got him inside tonight as he usually shares his house with my others 3 jills and another hob,,,,,,,both hobs have had their back wheels taken off and all girls spayed,,,,,,,,,,the shelfs in the shed are waterproof ply and the wee sits on top of it until i clean and disinfect it,,usually twice a day,,,,,,,im wondering if the wet is from him pooing then dragging his rear along

my 3 are spayed,,,,,ad my hobs have had their back wheels totally removed....... no problems for me

sad to hear mate,,poor little stinker......hopefully you can get another to replace her......not that it will be any consulation as you probably feel like no other stinker would take her place,,,,,,people get real attached to the little buggers.......i started with 2,,,,i didnt even want them,,but my son bought 1 and she looked lonely so i told him to get her sister as well,,,that was 2,,,,,,,now i got another jill,,,that made 3,,,and 2 hobs that live with them,,from a rescue centre,,,my girls have all been spayed and my boys have had their nuts cut off,,,so hopefully i wont end up posting the

I had a similar problem over twenty years ago, and the vet prescribed the dog's ear drops. I pointed out that it was only licensed for dogs. The vet reassured me that it wasn't licensed for ferrets as it had not been extensively trialled on them but they would sort the ferrets problem, which they did. I'd take the risk and use a drop or two from the dogs prescription.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DONT TAKE THE RISK,,,,,,,SPEND THE FIVER AND GET THE PROPER STUFF,,,,JUST AINT WORTH IT

got 4 ferts,,two from rescues,i dont work them but i gave em a good home,,,,,,getting another one this week,,,,,,,,so will have 3 jills,,all of which are spayed,,and 2 albino hobs,,both of which are castrated,,,,,,i may be a ferret math victim but i love these stinkers,,,,cant help it,,they sure get under ya skin!!!!!!

keep him,,if hes the only one you got,,you gotta use him mate........what if the other enthusiast thinks along the same lines as you? he.l get passed from pillar to post,then knocked on the head coz he wont knock his bollox out for someone.....you gotta give him a chance to prove himself mate,,,,,then if he dont,,,,give him to someone that will keep him as a pet and want him for what he is,,,,,,surely you dont need rabbits that desperately,,,give him a chance,,like you said hes already bolted some for ya,,,,,,,good luck in whatever decision you take mate but give him a go,,he may be the best
