No I was not saying I am an expert but I have actually studied into ferrets and have qualifications which is probably more than you can say. But I didn't even say that. I was actually just trying to give some opinions but it seems like you are the one which apparantly seems best tjones3862 and are you realy that sad to stoop to a level to pick on people on a forum about spelling. You obviously don't give a crap about your animals and I certainly would give you one. We are actually work our ferrets to you know nothing about us but obviously think you do. Some ferrets are better workers than others. Thats why you can not persume any ferret will be the best. The younger you train them the better but if they don't want to work they won't. If you have a small burrow that you know has rabbits home so she can def bolt one to get her started. You will then know if she is going to work.

Could be stress. Extremely important to have jills taken out of season. Cause many problems. Was going to say play fighting but not after i saw the picture. Could be an underlining illness but would need blood tests etc. If she is fine in herself, eating, drinking then that is a good sign but she could go down quickly. Worth taking to a vet to get checked out. Baldness is very common.

Were with BASC insurance. It covers everything and is well known so good to tell the land owners. £9o for the 2 of us. Check them out. Wouldn't go near that. Well known insurance companies try to get out anyway they can so wouldn't trust any I didn't know or heard off.

HI. Pure[/b europeans have pure european parents. As this they can only be classed as pures. As soon as it is crossed with a ferret it becomes a ferret with say 50% polecat as that is what a ferret is. Domesticated hybrid of polecat. Hope that makes sense. Wild polecats you can get like zoos will be naturally top of the gene pool as they have not been breed contaminated. We have a 2nd generation pure polecat which basicall means it has be breed down the line twice with pure parents. He is very nippy and hard to handle but can be just. Cows milk big no no. Can feed kitten milk but I wouldn't recomend it unless ill. Its not good for them

And by the way it does make a difference as we are the ones taking care of the ferrets abandoned and unwanted because people can't be bothered to spend money on the right stuff for them so we end up with the vet bills. Wondered why some ferrets die earlier then others. This is only to the idiots that are so rude as to not have a sivel conversation unlike most on here

Theres no need to be so rude. I thought the whole point of it is to give advice all ways. If you want to feed crap to your ferrets then fine if your to f*****g stinjy. Sorry that you believe you think you know better than the experts. Generally owners buy animals to care for them wether working or not. I simply was putting my views forward.

Hi, it is unlikely that you will find the owner. We rescue ferrets and rarely find the owners unless they are microchipped. We can check it to see if it is. If you want to rehome it we are near tonbridge so not to far for you to travel. We will handle it up first and check it over and make sure it is ok before finding it a home as many oners may not know how to handle it if nippy and ill. Have you got a picture. Hey. Personally we havn't used a mark I but many older ferreters swore by them when we was looking but to be honest I perfer the MK III with the new magnetic collars as the mk 2 you will have to keep changing the batteries each time which is a pain or worse if stop working when ferreting. The magnetic collars you can turn of by the bottom of the mkIII or the magnetic key. MkII has had some bad reports. The mk I are going for so much as they are no longer available and the old boys sorry to put it like that swear by them so there gonna stay dear until they are all gone. Hope it helps

Best thing is to make things with your imagination as they are very curious as you well know. They love hammocks, balls and tubes. You can buy all kinds of tubes but I find the best to be plastic ones that you can clean as they are likely to end up in their toilet. You can get some ideas of our website www.ferret-land.co.uk. Jills are generally better at ferreting partly due to their size. Ferrets should only be used for working if they are fit to. Overweight or unfit ferrets will not work aswell. Being kept in a large enough enclosure with toys will help keep them fit and a good diet.
