well i shoot better with my 28" lincoln but it doesnt fell right. the quality of the gun isnt as good

HI, ive just bought two shotguns off a good friend i got them for a snip for the condition there in the only problem is the one that seems to fit me best had spit the ends of the barrel, the gun was sent to birmingham proofing and an 1 3/4" was cut of making the gun 26 1/4" ive been told its now a skeet gun. so i was hoping someone could tell me if i could buy some 28" barrels for this gun to return it to its former glory? i would prefer to keep the gun as its my first shotgun but i can only use shoot clays i cant seem to drop any thing at our driven phesant shoot. all advice would be grea
