hey mate, i feel the same. i'm looking at night vision and its a nightmare. i have narrowed it down to two but its expensive! for ratting the pulsar n550 is best. digital sight and easy to use. its good for rabbitting too. however its a full sight so you'll have to re-zero every time. which is a put off for me. but if you can deal with that then go for it! they go for around a thousand pounds, give or take. excellent peace of kit! the next one i can find is the ATN PS22 - Night Vision System. attachable to a day time scope and used for all spec up to special forces. hence the hi

hey all, well, i woke up this morning and had planned to go for a nice sushi but got a call form scott saying "are we going hunting?". "ermm.. yes" ; so we head on our way. we arrived at our main permission and had a quick check zero. after a quick adjustment we went on our way to the usual hotspots. there was a tractor trimming the hedge rows at the farm so we didnt expect much. i soon came over two bunnies in one of the fields, and as i crept up into a good firing position they scooted off. i followed where they had ran and lay down along the hedge line. after range finding pr

dont worry about it mate. its a hard game. once you find the pellets that your rifle likes you'll soon feel for confident. mine adores aa diablo's. as for the hunting. pigeon have pretty much bullet proof chests, you need to hit them in the head for a assured kill. its hard . the amount of pigeons i have tried to get in range to, have flown off. you need to let them come to you. as for shots, consider your angle of fire. if i'm not mistaken, the pellet will hit higher than your cross hair if your aiming over a 45 degree angle. i know how you feel when its a miss or a hit but not f

bipods are they woth having???
Alex Arrigone replied to james11's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
i commented on a post similar to this a few days ago so i dont know if this is a follow up post and i'll just be repeating myself but here it goes anyway i think i bipod is essential, you may not use it all the time when hunting, however is handy to have, as stated by rossy08, for zeroing and for when you sit off. i suppose its about using the right equipment for the type of shoot you are doing. my friend has an original harris bipod and its great. you wont go wrong with it. but its expensive. i decided to choose a "harris style" bipod for half the price and its exactly the sam -

i agree that there has been, over the last couple of months, an increase in bad publicity for our sport. bored people with dangerous weapons its going to end in tears. and it will, eventually, affect us all . atb.

Air Arms s410 classic 177
Alex Arrigone replied to james11's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
hey, i too have an AA S410, great rifle, amazingly accurate and also use aa diablo pellets. i have tried other pellets but those seem to work best. strongly suggest getting bipod legs! i refused to get some for the first 4 months of shooting ads i thought i was able to just stablise the rifle with my hand. but i bought a "harris style swivel 6-9 inch bipod" off ebay mate. never looked back! atb mate -
hey all, well, after a few weeks of not having much luck on our permission's i was starting to loose confidence in myself but this weekend has been a good one! Scott and myself went down to one of our bird permissions this afternoon for a quick 2 hour hunt. it was quiet for about 20 minutes and the pigeons all seemed to congregate on the outside of our hunting perimeter, but we were sure it was a matter of time before one ventured across the line soon enough a pigeon had landed on a branch, perfect shot! i decided to utilize my new range finder at my usual firing point and foun

we have found that dusk / early evening is the most sucessful time to go out. however, since the sun has started coming out it seems the bunnies are out more in the day than at night it also depends on the permission mate, if ya get the time just do recce's at different times atb.

hey all, i am looking to get an fac licence, the paperwork is all filled in. the question i have is about the land. when the police investigators come to check if the land is suitable what is there checklist? as in how big the land has to be and what would restrict the tick in the box (houses, cattle...)? all the help possible would be amazing! thank you

too much time on ya hands scotty by the way, there are pure squashed bunnies on the roads at camp. think some squaddies have been running them over accidentally on purpose

F***K YOU BIRD WATCHER PERSON !!!!
Alex Arrigone replied to Alex Arrigone's topic in General Airgun Discussion
cheers for all the great comments lads i dont know how he found out where i lived or about the permission. the permission was a farm conveniently placed 50m from my house... perfect. the community is small here so there's every chance that maybe it came up in conversation between people at the shop or something and he saw his oportunity. atb alex -
F***K YOU BIRD WATCHER PERSON !!!!
Alex Arrigone replied to Alex Arrigone's topic in General Airgun Discussion
here are a few of the things he said... your not allowed to shoot crows as they are endangerd your not allowed to shoot collard grey doves he invented some laws that arent true either but i cant be accurate about what he said. either way, the lady is getting on a bit and she must have got a bit worried with the guy and thought it best we not hunt. i understand where she came from 100% -
hey all, well this is kinda a follow up of the last post about the lost permission due to a moody bird watcher. after the loss of our main permission, scott and myself decided it was needed to go on a search for new permissions as we now only had one and it has no activity on it at all. we spent 3 hours on friday asking farms with no luck, pretty sure ryan giggs turned us down from his stable too anyway, generally unsucessful. we called it a day and went home as it was getting dark. today we went out again on a mission to find a permission. 100 farms later moral was low, so

this weekend has been one of highs and lows. this friday i had a nock at the door. after dragging myself out of bed to see who it was i opened the door to see a giant pair of BINO's attached to a guy. slightly confused i said hello. he soon went on his endless rant at me. i was speechless at what was happenening. he had heard that we were hunting on one of our permissions and took it upon himself to accuse us of killing innocent creatures for fun he went on to describe how all birds are protected (true), i politely explained to him that such pests as squirrels, pigeons, crows.....
