  1. hey, i'm looking for night vision, i'm in the army and have used night vision before, frequently, however i now want to buy some for hunting. i would prefer night vision sights however bino's, monicles, and ect is good. i wana be able to see without compromising my position. i have a low budget considering the price of NV's so does anyone have any good sites to go on or any for sale? i am flexible on the price, but need item detail's. if you have any for sale then let us know, if not sites are a great help cheers
  2. i'm very interested in you NV system. i am williang to pay your asking prive and can pay ASAP. all i need is a few questions answered...

what generation of NV is it?

what is the visible range on it? (that you can clearly see objects at)

    is there any faults?

how would we go about the transaction?

do you have a mobile number for the purchase?

    cheers

  3. hi, i completely agree witht the benefits of MTP, when i was in afghan it was amazing, its light enought to be "invisible" in desert and green zones. which is great for out there. the new MTP is designed to be invisible in the close range of the green zone and light colored in the distant desert area. perfect for afghan... however... lets not forget that DPM was created for the next cold/ world war. it was made to be invisible in a gloomy, cloudy, rainy condition. put it this way, if i had the choice of both cam's and a war happened in england... i would choose DPM. my reason for this i
  4. A typo me thinks! Bit irresponsible taking a 77 yard shot though, was it lasered at 77 yards or guess work?? Darryl would never leave anything to chance mate, the shot was took because i was confident of a hit, it was my first live target long range shoot, me and my friend have been training on long range targets for weeks before attempting sush a shot
  5. just wanted to share my lastest and best kill yet! its nothing compared to some of the stories ive heard on here but i was dancing around in circles doing a victory dance over it for the last 15 minutes!!! i was on my way for a quick bit of lamping, i was literally only out for 3 minutes as i walked past a field on my quarry thats a known rabbit hang out. i flashed my torch and saw 3 bunny's chilling. 2 ran off before i could get aim but one of them stayed still. it was 77 yards away. normally i wouldnt have had the confidence to give it a shot however after the egg challenge from th
  6. hey , i myself have MTP available in quite a large quantity as i built up quite a stock pile from my previous tour of afghanistan... i used it for hunting on my permission for a few weeks but found that it wasnt as good as the old DPM clothing. the reason it is used in afghan and has been implemented by the army is due to the light and diverse terrains on the ground in Afghan, but for england, i find the darker DPM works best ..... but everyone to their own. hope this helped!
  7. thanks mate i'm well proud of it, never done anything like it before and it actually worked. so excited to give it a go!!!
  8. thinks the hunting platform was worth the effort!!

  9. me and my mate have just got new rifles and were considering camming them up, however, in my opinion i wouldn't. merely for the fact that something could go wrong or it wont come out as well as you think. there are rifle sleeves that cover your rifle available, same as camming up but you can pull them off if needs be. hope this helps
  10. as i said before... the picture dont do it justice, the height is unreal when your up there, here is just on ark to try and show what i mean.... tree house 10.1.bmp apologies for the last two photos, they were to big so i had to make em smaller will update again on our next build cheers
  11. this is the top looking down the hatch... tree house 9.1.bmp
  12. hey all, thanks for the reply'! well just updating this after another days works on the hunting platform... today we put in another 4 support beams, was harder today due to the angle of the tree, where as the previous support beams were parallel, these ones were at an angle to support the corners of the frame. anyway we got to work, built a winch to lift the wood into place. once all the support beams were in plae that was the hard work dont! we now have a fully supported structure capable of holding two of us the next job was putting the flooring down, that was easy and to
  13. all the stories on here are amazing, ive not had anything as good as most the stories on here but i'll put my most momorable kill down.... me and my friend were out lamping for rabbit on our local permission, we were 3-4 minutes in and still walking towards our hide when out of nowhere a rabbit run's across our ark of fire about 7 foot in front of us. it ran from a bush and was moving along a small patch of open gound (about 2 meters wide)heading for another bush. i had a split second to react, and without even having the time to aim i decided that i was confident i could hit the target
  14. hey , i started this to compare skills, and luck! what was your all time favourite kill? crazy range? moving target? collateral damage (double/triple kill)? ..... as well as this what was your best day hunting? how many kiils in one day? tell your story to the forum!!! cheers
  15. Ok , so it could be one of 2 springs ............ In the mag housing there is a small spring ( like the one on the end of a ball point pen , but shorter ) and a small ball bearing . This `should ` locate into the groves on the outside of the ali pellet housing , every time its indexed . You can turn it with your finger , just to make sure its working right , and clicking into place . As you said you`ve had the same trouble with a different mag , i would also look at the indexing post . This is located where the mag `slots` in . With the magazine left out of the gun , look to where
  16. this has happened a few times in the early day, and i did the same things as stated to avoid a double pelet feed however the problem doesnt stem from that. but thats for the info friend
  17. yes, without a mag in its smooth as anything, which is what lead me to believe it was the mag, but when i tried other mags it was the same problem cheers for the reply
  18. thanks for reply, its not unusable, was shooting today, it just has an emotional cocking handle. little problem that need a simple fix... hopefully
