  4. Twat.? No mate far from it she's a good dog and a vary good worker , as I stated I haven't had her vary long so sadly she is the one that has to go and not the lurcher which I have had from a pup
  5. vary sad to have to do this , havent had this little bitch vary long but her and my lurcher have started to fight and dont want to risk either of them having any serious injury so think it is best to act sooner rather than later . she is a lovely little bitch , 6 years old, Kc reg, she is a relentless little worker and works well with the lurchers will flush any game . have never used her to the gun so cant comment on her ability there , but was told the previous owner did she is well bred and has 11 FTC in her make up sleeps outside and is silent in the kennel not looking
  6. Ok thanks , planning on getting a hob and having it v-ed to keep the jills sorted , and wasn't sure weather to get an adult and have it done as soon as I had it , or get a kit and get it done when it was old enough , rather the idea of a kit , and if I can have it done in it's first year shouldnt have to separate them much
  7. What I ment was at what age could a hob kit impregnate my jills , I got the room to separate them so not a problem just wondering
  8. At what age would a kit be sexually active ? How long could I house him with jills till it would pose a risk off impregnating them ?
  9. Thinking about getting a hob kit and getting it V-ed in the future and was wondering at what age are they old enough to have the op ?
  10. not if they go under the brake peddle lol
  11. what model mate , looks decent , did you pay 50 for it or you selling it for 50 ?
  12. what make and model is it mate , looks a good clear vid , is it any good for things on the move like when the lurchers are at full sprint
  13. hi all , just looking for some advice , im looking for a hand held video camera to use while out with the lurcher and dogs , im looking for some thing with a decent zoom that will give decent quality recordings if you could point me in the direction of a selection of different price and quality so i can comparer and get a feel for what i should be looking for , as i have no understanding as to what i need thanks
  14. If it seems so insatiable difficult to find a good line off collie based lurchers from a long line of worker to worker it would seem the next logical thing to do would be to start one , using the best collie blooded lurchers available, obviously this is much easier said than done, but given the interest and demand for dogs bred in this fashion and the obvious glut of collie blooded dogs out there that are supposedly doing the job well, then theoretical then this shouldn't be so difficult , and given the modern day advancements making it so easy to contact and stay in contact with people from a
  15. spent alot of time trying to decide this my self , got a small springer now does a good job , endless energy go all day
  16. thanks lads , i was given a whistle with her a 210 1/2 , i think the original owner trained the dog to whistle but to what degree i am unsure, i had the dog from a friend that bought the dog but sadly due to unforeseen circumstances was not able to keep her, she is in need of alot of work to train her on the whistle, but she bushes vary well and is a pleasure to have around, i now that a great degree of obedience isnt so important in a bushing dog but would like to get it a little better than it is , and on the whistle to save my voice lol
  17. hi , got my self a springer spaniel bitch this week for the job of flushing and bushing for my lurcher , the springer is bitch and a good little dog works the cover well she is 6 years old and i am told that she has had some whistle training in the past so just wondering is there a standard set off whistle commands used im not looking to produce a field trial champ , but if i can just achieve a good recall and stop at a distance to start ill be happy i now that at the moment i need to get to know the dog and form a bond but would like to get her on the whistle if poss
  18. Well bred pups these , out of hard working parents
  19. border , beardie grey , she is only 12 months and hasnt done a huge amount of work yet , but she is vary keen , and loves the bunnys and catches quite well , and is surprisingly fast as for training she is clever and pics things up quite quickly , i have learnt tho that she needs a firm hand as she will try and take the piss and do what she likes given half a chance but she is still young yet , and now that i have learnt how to handle her she is much more responsive edited to add . she has a good nose on her 2 and hunts up well in the day and is constantly on the go
  20. nice coat on him, would like my next dog to be broken coated like yours so can still see the dogs shape
  21. dont seem to see many broken coated lurchers with much bull blood in them , see a few deer bull greys , but not so many beddie , beardie etc , if you got any pics post them up please
  22. Im no expert mate but i wouldnt hose her again , or shout at her for being noisy in the kennel sounds like she is a little timid , i would suggest if you are going to try and keep her in the kennel to ignore all any bad behaviour completely, dont go out to her or go near her if she is crying
  23. thanks for them will have a good look now
