thank you for the offer mate vary much appreciated but 480 mile round trip a bit far for a ferret im surprised there are still unborn litters about tho , had given up looking for this year
-
i had my first ferret when i was about 13 , and it was never mated and lived to a vary old age , went grey and frail from old age in the end , must have been about 9 year old when she passed
-
She is vary nice mate , love the colli x's got a colli grey my self yours looks like a smaller version of her similar markings Fancy a colli whip grey in the future
-
looking forward to it
-
Yea it's a real shame , he was from good working stock had him off Paul Roberts off here , having a look around now if there are any late litters around
-
lol i shal give him 2 kicks mate lol i honestly think that if i had spoken to that male vet first this wouldnt have happened , he made it quite clear that he had succesfully done the op a number of times and only when the balls were distended . is it to late to find a litter of young kits this year ? if i get another i dont want any thing older , will only ever get baby kits in future as i had this one so tame and playfull that way
-
i now i am really gutted . there were no problems with the hob at all before the op he was in perfect health as far as i was concerned, the only reason i wanted him to have the op was so that he could service the jills and live with them permanently i am prity sure that who ever i repeatedly spoke to on the phone simply treated the vasectomy by the same rules as a castration and thats y they only quoted me 39 quid and said 6 months , what a f**k up the vet that i delt with after the op seemed to now there was a f**k up 2 , he said him self that he would normaly wait for the testic
-
no mate , he wasnt looking to bad when he came home , he could walk bit wobly ,and drinking ok , his run nest box etc was in the shed , which is insulated , and i put the dogs heat lamp on in there so it was perfectly warm for him
-
yea i just looked it up , im not sure he had it , im certain he wasnt deff any way , he would be out of his nest box the second i stepped int the shed , he could hear me coming no probs

i shall talk to them about that in person , was to pissed off when they rang me will be going there tomoro well he admitted that they had him out and opened up for quite a long time trying to do the op so i think it was them to blame if im honest , i will put a vid of him up now from a week ago .
-
had a phone call from the vets . he has died , im fecking gutted , got really attached to him (buzz) the hob , he was the tamest little ferret i have ever had was a real little character they have said that they want to send him for an external post-mortem to determine the cause of death and they are going to pay for the cost , so will see what they got to say when they phone back
-
well the last 2 days his condition has been getting worse and this morning he was just laying there not moving when i went in to see him , so has gone back to the vets this morning , they are keeping him for a couple of days , giving him some antbiotics and fluids , i will be gutted if he doesn't make it

Lol you best get it in your sig 2 been as you actually own it lol -
I think I was far to soft in the situation , I don't now y I was , I would not normally have some one take this piss but seems in this situation they have ,and been paid for the privilege . He told me to take him back on Friday just to check him over , think we will be having a long discussion now that I have had time to reflect on it He is still prity drugged and falling around at the moment
-
i can give you some more usefull info regarding which vets to avoid to if you want ??? lol
-
no mate , it means he cant get the jills pregnant , so he can live with them permanently , when ever they come into season he will mate them and they will come straight out of season then ,more healthy for the jills
-
i now it was a piss take , what gets me is tho they have knocked the poor fecker out , shaved him , sliced him open , and stitched him up for feck all , its just not right is it
-
well it wasnt him that started the op , it was the other vet that started it , and when she couldnt tell the tubes apart , she called him so he said he scrubed up and had a look and couldnt tell them apart either , but said he had done the opp in the past , maybe if it had been him that started it he may had stoped before starting , paid them now mate , i shouldnt have tho your right
-
he said that he has successfully done the opp a number of times and said there wount be a problem when he is more develop , i just pissed off with it all now dont now what to think
-
right , today was the day my young hob was going in for his vasectomy , i took him in this morn and told i could pick him up in the afternoon , the price was £39 . so i ring around 2 o'clock to see if he is ready and how it went , they said o id better get the vet to speak to you , so im waiting on the phone think feck they have killed him ! .. so on comes the vet and thank feck he is ok but the operation had not gone to plan , the had nocked him out cut him open but when it came to cuting the tube as everything was so small they could not differentiate the right tube from an artery , so t
