heheheheheheh.. take a bow nell.............. just look at this for a catch. and my new box......... i did ask the farmer to ask his mate the joiner to knock something up.... that will teach me to give him some measurements......lol instead of just a fenn. i now has to send it back and ask him to insert a step, either side of the fenn..... this fenn here is 1 of the copies.... bag o shite it is, again another lesson learnt. -

they will look good on your camera screen........ its the image size that counts, the larger the better... what is the average size of any 1....??? when i want top quality pics, i set my cam to max and the images sizes come out between 2 and 5mb....

you hear all the stories....... i've tried peanut butter on my last roofspace job, not a single take from the bait, so i swopped to just peanuts. now he belongs to me. outside, i've had variations, like you say its what they are used to.... can you speak to the neighbours, see who's over feeding the birds and ask them to either stop or reduce this for a week or 2...?

all depends on your quarry.................... myself i mainly shoot rats, occasionally i get asked to cull a few ferals, so i re-zero for them... rats - i zero at 15-20yrds max, i lamp them so i manage to get close. is yours a springer or pcp....???? mines a pcp falcon so i pace out 20yrds, set 3 targets, small med large, then at 10 yrds 3 more, same again S, M, L. start at the large see where your grouping is with say 5 straight shots. i tend to use the dustbin to lean on. then adjust if required untill the grouping is good and centered. when your happy try the medium, then s

i recently contacted falcon for advice... my fn12 was over the limit, after tweaking, i managed to bring it down,,,, but why,...???? so i rang john for advice... to which he posted a new part... foc.... even though the visa card was at the ready. top service....... thats twice now i've has foc bits.. !!!!!!!!!!!

the properties of your pics doesnt say a deal.......... i would set yer iso high in those conditions and up the shutter speed, mess with light settings etc...... perhaps on your next outing, experiment prior to shooting. for info on your shots afterwards,, open the image, right click on it, select properties,, it it will give you information on settings. then take notes on where you went wrong.

does you use a filter on yer lamp... where i shoot at, they stop to allow you to say a quick prayer before THE END. seriously,,,, the red filter gives you a good 5 sec window to choose where you want to shoot them...... head or body shot. as the visits progress they soon get used to it though...... but a month down the line... fresh rats are frequenting the place and they has no idea they are selected. i've tried a few different colours on my logun... red seems to be there chosen one......... :moil:
