    I currently have a 17hmr on a closed licence for tha last 9 months, I have used it for rabbits but mainly foxes I find my self needing a bigger rifle so this is my problem 1. Is it to soon 2 apply for a open cert 2 if it's granted will I my next gun be open straight away 3. Can I apply for 223 open now All advice welcome cheers

    I'm under ddyfed Powys n they let me use my HMR on foxes, the new Fao is sound does a bit him self which is nice change

    On normal hunting days in high winds you or I would not notice as 9/10 the result is a hit If target practising/ zeroing you may find your groups open up from 1" to 3" or so Brilliant round if you can read conditions

    Bought a tetra 3 piece cleaning kit for my 17hmr while attempting 2 clean noticed brush was very tight fit so switched and used copper brush it went down with a firm push on pulling back the rods parted on inspection iv stripped the thread by doing this any 1 had similar problem it seems a very poor method

    Have recently had my licence back all looks good but I am a little unsure when it comes to my permissions. When I applied one of my permissions was a 100 acre farm all cracking farm house buildings etc they also owned a old farm several miles away but there is no building just the fields. When I places both addresses down but with the main posting address it has come back with 1 map reference not 2 and doesn't mention other part even though I was told all my land cleared and above board Cheers

    Bought 250 end of last season cheap as chips £40 for 30gram 6 used them for pigeon/crow decoying and general rough shooting good lil cart can't moan for price
