am keeping 4 jills to work and 1 hob ,he will get the snip ,wont be using my usual local vet been recomended a vet in glasgow £65 he keeps ferrets himself and has done plenty vas ops price wise it can be a lottery seen them £30-£200 as been said it sometimes dont work even jill jabs prices £6-£14 and may need 2 per season u need to weigh up what u want to keep numbers wise and work out the cost over a few seasons .u can make a few bob back with a proven vas hob dont think breeding to sell kits to fund the ops the way to go tbh

depends on what u gona use it for r u interested in going to earth or u happy on rats and bunnys how much do u want to spend i just used my lurchers when ferreting but my 1st dog was a heinze 57 x terrier type from the dog pound great wee dog and for no money or u can spend a few hundred quid on a russell and look the part .its a quandry aint it

Bloody hell something like that bothers you that much that some lazy bar stuards can't be bothered to look is it really that big of a deal surely not. And this sounds like a moan to me. whats the problem av been keeping and working ferrets on and off since 1971 ,just bred a jill for the 1st time and it took me 10mins tops using the search and going through old posts to find all the info i needed . got ten healthy kits 3 weeks old no probs ffs u dont even need to register to find the info . then u get guys moaning that posters get ripped how fkn hard is it to do a search then post if u cant find the answer .cant even get a bit of banter now without some smart arse moaning i aint been here long but its realy pissing me off now same ole posts just a diff day wake me up w

its called stockmanship lee its somthin picked up over the years of learning from some 1 or by making mistakes along the way .the internet only makes it easier to get the info that took us years to learn .so dont be put off by dootys blunt and harsh manner he knows the same question will come up in a few weeks posted by an other and it starts again .maybe instead of asking why not use the search button 1st or read a few books no 1 dont want to help but it gets a bit fkn tedious reading the same shit over and over ,roll on sept mite see some decent posts of working ferrets and pics
