I don't participate Boyo due to health reasons , I have great memories of rabbitting as a kid , my dad was a collier and had us out on a regular basis with his dogs and ferrets. I just enjoy the countryside these days, getting a dog is a great reason to get out and about on a regular basis with the family....I'm fully aware that she will probably revert to type when she sees a likely prey ...actually i'm looking forwards to it. I have no doubt that she would make a decent worker , however my interest in the game these days is just reading about it and visiting shows. We had lurchers when i was a kid , the opportunity came to buy one and she will be my walking companion for the next dozen or so years.

Thanks for your replies ....we have looked at suitable breeds and we have seen that Poodles should be the answer.....only thing is ....no offence to Poodles or Poodle owners but i will not bother if this is my only option. I was brought up in a household with working dogs , its just a bloody shame that my lad has this allergy .....maybe he'll grow out of it ....only time will tell....but it's a whippet that i want or two in an ideal world. I'll keep searching guys.

Hi everyone , obviously i'm new here and i'm not a hunter but used to own a weirach hw80 ? many years ago and loved the solitude and occasion of an early morning in the field.
