  2. I've used both the plaswas and fibre. Although I've not pattern tested them, they seem to be blatting the clays I poke them at. I'll see if I can get a pattern plate done in next few days. So far so good - give them a go
  3. Hiya Just seen your thread looking for an AA powered trail cam. I have one for sale if you are still looking (but doubt it as it was Feb). Let me know Cheers
  4. Will leave on until end of day. Cheers guys.
  5. Ha. No. I'll do £110 including delivery and will post tomorrow assuming payment cleared
  6. Just an idea on what you can catch on there. Please bear-in-mind the video has been degraded slightly so I could upload it. The actual video is better quality.
  7. Hi guys, I'm selling a 12 megapixel trail camera. It's brand new in the box. All you need is batteries and an SD card and away you go. It's a battery powered, motion-activated camera with IR for night shots! Great for animal tracking (i've got loads of deer, badgers, hedgehogs, all manner of birds) or just general shoot security. I know people that use them to identify and monitor badger earts and fox holes. It would also be good as a security camera in your garden (I have mine strapped to a tree and looking at my oil tank). £113 delivered to your door via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
  8. Ha ha, well that's the first i've seen of that. But clearly I do not qualify as i'm not a charity! With regards to meeting 'online publicity requirements', I don't think the amount of hits I get in an entire year would be enough (if thats how they would decide)! The most hits i've ever got (I just checked) is 94 - and that was BEFORE this post! I wish I hadn't bothered now! Regardless of any of that, this section is the 'review' section. How can I review something and not tell you what it is?!? Does everybody that mentions a brand or manufacturer get the same treatment? Toodle pip
  9. I can promise you I make nothing from that link or any other I put in my blog (obviously the google ads are different but counterproductive in your argument). If you read the blog, you will see lots of links to all manner of websites (which I receive nothing from, just to clarify). I'm a genuine believer in giving credit where it's due and helping out small and local businesses where possible. Just because I recommend something, it doesn't mean I am getting anything from it. If I believe in something, I will tell people and vice-versa. I only just bought tops and bottoms from them (obvious
  10. Totally disagree with this and I notice you didnt name these brands in the same sales-pitch on that site I have HH,Berghaus, and North Face base-layers,jackets and trousers, also got a merino wool jumper, not one item is whiffy and your warm as toasted-bread in some of the gear Well come smell my drawers Each and every one of my fully synthetic layers smells within about 1/2 hour of putting it on. Google it - I am not the only one! I have no connection to chocolate fish other than being a happy customer. I am not selling anything so why would I buy advertising space? I tho
  11. Thanks for the offer, but I am in a relationship I dont have to google,I have HH and Berghaus kit,no complaints and all are fine. Fair enough, everybody is different I guess. But, synthetic/poly layers will smell more than wool. Fact. Have a good evening

  13. Hiya, Sounds like a sales pitch I know, but that isn't the case. I was trying to make people aware of the benefits of merino over synthetic base layers - that's all. There may well be some cheaper in the UK, but they will either not be genuine NZ merino, they will be packed with synthetics and can almost guarantee manufactured with no social or environmental conscience What brands did you have in mind? I fully appreciate some people don't give a monkies how there kit was made or where it even comes from...as long as it's cheap. But ultimately, you get what you pay for. Horses
  14. Hi guys, I spend lots of my time outside shooting, paragliding or doing a bit of bushcraft. So, I just wanted to tell you about some new layers I've bought for an upcoming shooting trip to subzero Croatia. I've tried all sorts of synthetic base layers in the past and now have a drawer full of smelly clothes (maybe that says more about my levels of personal hygiene or how bad at washing SWMBO is) None compare to the warm, soft touch of merino wool. So, if any of you are looking for something to keep you warm over the winter then merino is the way to go (forget the fully synthetic stuff)
  15. I love a debate. I just didn't want to be the cause of an argument as that wasn't the intention
  16. Hi guys. Everybody entitled to their own opinion. I didn't really want this to be a argumentative thread. I fully appreciate both sides of the argument. It was more to highlight the issue really, not cause offence. As an example, my mum had to wait a while to get a liver transplant (not alcohol induced) and in that timeframe, George Best went through 2. A classic example of what you are saying - but I am assuming it was money that paid for his. I can also see that 'alcoholism' could be classed as a 'disease' too - so maybe it wasn't that bad (but hey, at the time I despised the man...and s
  17. Many people feel the same way rob, so no problem at all. It is an odd thing and some people cannot rationalise it. I'm the other way around. I don't see a problem leaving my organs for somebody else, but I don't like the idea of somebody else's organ inside me. But like you say, if it comes to it - i'll take whatever they offer
  18. That's a new one on me Malt. Donated cartilage. Whatever next
  19. Up to 3,021 now. Good work guys, thanks if you put your name forward for organ donation. What better gift to leave when you go, the gift of life Cheers

  21. I've never seen the envelope, when I signed up it was face to face with a form. What was it?
  22. Sold. For the asking price. Cheers guys, such worthy and insightful comments made. That's what forums are all about People will pay for quality. Just because you wouldn't, it doesn't mean others won't. "You pays your money and gets what you paid for"
  23. @scothunter - no problem mate. I appreciate it's not for everyone The eyes seem to be the less ticked box for some reason. I don't get it - but I am sure there is a reason @Kay - thank you very much. Make sure you let T know or she cannot update her total... I've been given an extra 7+ years with my mum. Although the disease has recently started attacking her new liver. No chance of retransplant this time due to age and other underlying kidney issues. But hey - it was an extra 7 years (whether we used that time wisely is another matter. Families hey) If any of you signed up a wh
