  1. check how many fixing holes there are in the cabinet, that's how many bolts you need doofus, and m10 minimum, to an external or solid wall where possible, unless you live in a tent or caravan, or a prefab, then you're in for some bother
  2. it's a rare thing for me to shoot a hare, only 2 last year and i enjoyed them very much thankyou.
  3. the thing i hate about tikka t3s is the shite plastic mags and floppy stocks, absolute feckin rubbish! if you do end up with one, i can recommend the laminated stock. remington on the other hand remind me of ruger 10/22s, all that after market stuff needed to make a mediocre rifle shoot like a tack driver, ideally if money were no option i'd buy a shagged out remi for peanuts, then send it to border barrels and let them work their magic and have the full works done on it, trigger, bolt, barrel, and stock, topped off with some decent mounts and glass you'll have something worth keeping.
  4. i remember setting up my swede when i got it, after zeroing dead on at 150ish yds, (end of the field) i set some boards out ranging from 30yds out just to see where the bullet impacted at different ranges, you might want to try this
  5. done diddley, works a treat, thanks
  6. Ok, i had 2 sec 1 shotguns for a few years, avian pest control was the reason i used for the application, i also mentioned that i needed one for close rabbits in the hay meadow, while i was at it i asked if i could use them on clays aswell, i never had any problems buying carts for them, all i did was show my fac with the authority to possess the shotgun and that was it. The feo said i could use the shotgun anywhere i had permission as long as i used it within the guidelines of the general licence, as it was technically just a shotgun with an extended mag and should be treated as any other
  7. as long as it's bolted to a wall i don't see a problem, best he check with his flo, they can be a bit strict on certain stuff
  8. piece of piss mate, just don't say it's for wildfowling or zombies...
  9. couldn't afford too much this year, so i bought food and cooked for her, now we're feeling very fat so i probably won't get "lucky" tonight... Pissmittens!
  10. hi mate, the minimum you can reduce the barrel to is 12", i've heard from reliable sources that 14" is the optimum minimum length. hope this helps, gram.
  11. cheers for that, i can see why gmk might want to ream out the chamber a bit as they're a bit tight, i did read on PW a while back that someone had the same problem and ground down the extractor claw instead, yours seems like the better of the two ideas so i'll give it a go tomorrow. thanks again, gram.
  12. hi gents, i have the extraction problem on my 22lr, i know there's a mod that can be done on the extractor hook to sort this out, just wondering how far i need to grind it down by. if any of you have done this successfully can you measure yours and let me know. thanks in advance, gram.
  13. Nope. Catholic beg to differ, according to wikipedia, theres about 65mill more muslims than christians, although christianity first reached africa in the 1st century, since islam was introduced in the 7thC, christianity has been in slow decline ever since. In 2002 there were similar numbers of both religions, (approx 300m) the figures i quoted were from a 2009 cencus.
  14. what's the pope got to do with africa? aren't most of the african nations muslim?
  15. the only thing i found a problem is getting hold of factory ammo, i ended up getting 200 norma 156gr alaskans, partly because the brass is better quality for reloading, and partly because it's one of the best and most accurate factory loads available, it was bloody expensive though, get this, £345 !!! i doubt i'll ever need any more though, as a mate of mine reloads for his, he reckons he can do the same for me for about a pound a pop. Just something to consider though, if you plan on using it a lot, either reload or at least make sure you can get a good varied supply, a young lad i know has j
  16. not heard anything like it before, perhaps they're so far behind in checking up on people. you could easily turn this around and offer to help spot any hare coursing on or near your perms.
  17. I have "Grams immigrant taxi" (tranny van) for work, the wife has a mildly pimped and boosted 206. used to build and ride bikes, my fave was my last, a z1000j which i'd pimped into a bit of a streetfighter
  18. WTF!!???? How the hell did this get turned into a racist rant? Christ on a bike, gentlemen, please... quite possibly the best female vocalist of our time has just died, have a little respect? god rest her troubled soul, may she rest in peace at last, amen.
  19. the man is a coward, i understand that his police protection is costing around the 10k a week mark! i suppose it's one way to keep a close eye on him
  20. hi mate, afaik you'll need to show some form of communication between you and the person you're buying the stalking from, either a confirmation or receipt from a booked day, i know of people that have "said" they did this and got a rifle slot on their license, don't know if it's true or not though as i'm sure you know alot of bullshit gets floated around on forums in general, is this your first fac? if it is then try by all means but don't be disappointed if it's refused 1st time round, i had to wait a year or so for my first c/fire, then another couple of years before i got it opened up. good
