  1. it's all bollox, whether it be tory or labour, they'll all f**k you over if you let them. the only way to beat the system is to leave it.
  2. i am just me... everyone else was taken.
  3. is it lead acid? they're shite, or at least the charger is, i've just converted mine to lithium polymer bats roughly same size and weight as a pack of fags and recharge in the motor in 1.5 hrs, or at home in just under an hour, a tad expensive initially, the whole lot came in at just over a ton, but the hassle it saves is well worth it.

    stranglers .?

one of the more melodic punk bands, midnight summers dream is one of my favourite tracks, closely followed by no more heroes, then maybe either peaches or golden brown depending on my mood...
  5. worked a treat, out for a couple of hours and still plenty of life left in the batt after. not many rabbits about yet though, only bagged 4.
  6. good for you gal, my wife had similar trouble with her first husband, i bit my tongue and held back for a while, i understood it was difficult for him to see his kids as he was over a hundred miles away in london. However, after a few visits, and then a few weekends where he'd take the kids away with him, we found out that as soon as he got back to london he was dumping them on his mum on the friday eve and not seeing them again until the sunday morn when he'd pile them in the car and make the run back to ours, that and a few other facts that came to our attention was what finally did for hi
  7. they are the undead, zombie rabbits... the end is nigh, f**k the world, save your self!
  8. twitching dead rabbit, looks like bugs crawling under the skin any idea what causes this?
  9. deffo spend as much as you can afford on glass, £800 bills is plenty. you don't have to spend a fortune on the gun, just find a load that suits what you have.
  10. 243?, my cousin is a park ranger and that's what he uses, or if you don't mind reloading, either 6.5x55 or i have heard good things said about 25-06, I do know an old fella out my way who uses his 308 for everything, it's a bit over the top imo, but does the job, he uses 100gr hp's on fox.
  11. there's a feckin alien in there! on a similar note, a few years ago now i was washing out a rabbit carcass, i don't know if it was the cold water or me wiping it off with my hands but it started twitching, scared the crap out of me
  12. do you notice any excessive movement when you screw it on the end of the barrel? it does sound like you've got some hv rounds mixed in there, but i couldn't say for sure, can you strip the mod and see if there's any damage?
  13. trying out some new batteries, some 3cell lithium polymer 11.1v with the lamp, about the size and weight of a fag packet so i can attach it to the rifle with some velcro tape, no more loose wires to catch up on the fences! Better still, no more heavy old lead acid batt to lug around in my pocket! Even better still is they only take an hour to charge, the only downside is the cost, about £30 each and i reckon i'll need another couple as they're only 3.5ah. i'll post up here later to let you know how i get on. cheers, gram.
  14. i had a win 70 in 22/250 , absolutely loved it. one word of advice, don't use cheap mounts.
  15. That's told me then eh? I honestly thought this forum was better than that.
  16. but i wouldn't necessarily want you pissing in my front room
  17. of course i'm not chap, i already mentioned i'm a carpenter by trade, but i can do more than just carpentry, and have done for over 20yrs now.let me rephrase what i said earlier, In my experience, the last time i worked for a firm of decorators (subbies) 99% of them were just plain shite, i can do a much better job than these 99%, something i'm not ashamed to put my name to.
  18. it'll no doubt surprise a few on here just how far you can actually get a 22lr to shoot accurately, the 455 is a nice looking piece of kit, shame they weren't about when i bought my quad, i could have saved myself a few bob
  19. it's not that hard off a bipod tho is it, a few clicks on the turret and bob's your uncle
  20. depends on the area, i've got one patch where i can perch up on the back of a low loader and pick them off coming out of the burrow at 120yds, on a walk round i keep the range down to around 50-70yds
  21. , i've done quite a bit of decorating in the past, some of the total effin inbreds out there that call themselves decorators is astounding, it's a bloody shame, decs get all the hard work of putting all the other feckers shit right. if your a ducker and diver doin painting and decorating -- dont that make you as bad ? , i've done quite a bit of decorating in the past, some of the total effin inbreds out there that call themselves decorators is astounding, it's a bloody shame, decs get all the hard work of putting all the other feckers shit right. if your a ducker and diver doin painting
  22. the ammo price is the only draw back, home loading is the best option, head weights range from 85gr hps to 156gr partitions which is 30 cal territory. it's a heavy bullet going around 2700fps, not as fast or flat as .243, but barrel life is considerably longer, it'll drop pretty much anything tho, so more than enough gun for me, if your down my way one weekend drop me a line and you can try her out.
  23. i reckon that'd cost in the region of 50 sovs, it's an easy process with the right gear, i've seen a gunsmith mate of mine do it, he's got this b&d workmate set up with clamps and stuff, i think he uses hot oil to soften the wood and make it bend, a bit like steaming.
