  1. Been trying this stuff out. Use it both the stables and dog runs etc. If you pardon the pun, its the mutts nuts. And having specialised in microbiology and infection control, these products make Jeyes fluid etc look like the equivalent of leeches. I'm not involved with the company in anyway just did some research and asked around, tried out a number of products. Works for me
  2. The spinal deformity mentioned was spina bifida. I believe the statement was retracted by the BBC after a complaint from the KC. On the grounds that it was bollocks. good old BBC! nevr let the truth get in the way of a good story. As for breeders bucketing ridgeless pups, I have no doubt it happens
  3. They do drink a bit! But I never managed to kill mine. Not a car to be trekking long trips in, but if you need a motor to bang around lanes and rough stuff they are bloody good. They do attract a bit of attention from certain quarters. I blathered the windows in RSPCA, PETA and other such type stickers to act as cammo.
  4. Feck me, you should get a job in a typing pool. 3 lots of war and peace in 4 minutes. And like war and peace, works of fiction
  5. so you scouse git , you approve of asians grooming white girls do you ? Calm down, calm down! I think he was referring to the polices anti coursing operations
  6. Cheers guys. Better get the tape measure out!
  7. I am looking into rebuilding a kennel block for a dog rescue. Does anybody know if there are any minimum sizes for runs and kennels?
  8. I keep two. One for potlicking, and the other for swearing at
  9. I use one of these http://www.dogsandco.com/figurelead.html Put the collar end around the wrist and the metal stop will stop you hand getting strangled. then either put handle of lead through the the dogs collar and looop back to hand. If you run without a collar, then just loop it round the dogs neck, then a loop through the handle as other photos show on here. The webbing is lightly padded so comfy to use and doesn't whip the dog on release. On the way home just use it as a normal lead collar. No question to answer
  10. Collie x beddie/whippet. She's a cracking bushing dog, great nose a mental drive. She also has enough pace out of the blocks to nab a few when the burst out into the open. But she does rob the catch off the bigger dogs, but always retrives!
  11. That Darren is one of the truest things written on here in a long time. Pass it on to the NFU/milk marketing board as a counter protest!
  12. I avoid Dr John's. Gave mine the shits. The platinum isn't that bad as a base for raw feeding if your dog is getting a lot of work. I would also base the choice on the type of dog/how much sighthound as that will also dictate the leves of protein/fat they would need to flourish. In my experience, most 1/2 sighthound x don't need the high levels of protein that a heavily running dog x would require.
  13. They would do buts it's full of fecking rabbits!
  14. Personally wouldn't breed from this dog. But just a question, if memory serves me correct, wasn't one one the well known bull x's reputed to have some kind of mastiff in the original first x?
  15. If you have to ask you will never understand. I am sure a polite gentleman in blue will knock on your door to explain
  16. My grandad always described it as making a noise like a piece of lettuce?! sounds daft but it does work!
  17. what does the law state about knives ? a knife needs to be folding, non locking and with a blade under 3 inches in length. Any thing other needs good reason. Using a knife in conjuction with a legal activity is a good reason. If you are hedge hopping then it goes out the window.
  18. I use one on small fields upto 5/6 acres. btoh with dog and gun. great little lamp. the dogs took a while to adjust to the white tight beam after using a "normal" lamp. If I am lamping bigger land I still take it as a back up lamp. I have had it nearly 3 years now and it gets charged on a regular basisand as yet no loss of performance. Like it so much I bought another at the Midland game fair.
  19. friends barley aint grew at all like it should and is being cut into crop silage soon as the weather is dry enough, they tried to do thet here but the combines just sunk I've just been asked to flailmow 15 acres of barley. Floatation tyres on the tractor help! but having no cab on it doesn't. Piss wet through again!
  20. be careful what you wish for! if it gets any wetter here i'm going to fit waterwings to the dogs
  21. with the 10x I found that it was easier to select the target to rangefind it. Also didn't find that much difference from the 8x when it came to low light. Good luck
