  1. try the manufacturers direct. At this time of year they often have a used/ex show display trap or two for sale after the game fairs and big comps have been done. I got a good deal on a couple of Promatics a few years ago
  2. Thats fair enough......but regardless what wealth a person has nobody can save the world and being put on a guilt trip for giving money to one charity instead of another is not a nice scenario......hence i disagree, writing cheques is not always easy. Now where can I get myself some of these lap dancing, pint carrying dwarf's to clean my shark tank
  3. The beauty is not the seeing but the knowing...........seeing it is a bonus but being able to look at yourself in the mirror every day without swearing and shouting is reward in itself True Gnasher, but if you had that kind of cash at your disposal, writing cheques is easy. I'd want to put some of my time to continue making a difference to whatever cause I supported.
  4. Point being lads think there dog going lamping is working harder than a wolf thats trying to survive in freezing temps day in day out. There fore it stands to reason you dont have to rush home and feed your dog 8 hours (think thats how long it takes) before you can take it lamping. When its feed well and been lay in a warm kennel. Shocking how narrow minded and far from nature antis are, you would expect more from hunters. If you need sandymere to tell you when to feed your dog Free thinking is free So is good advice, if you want to take it, or not, I couldn't care either way.
  5. Wolves may only eat once a week, but they certainly dont do so by choice. Surely, those wolves that eat most often will be the healthiest and perform better. the longer without food, the poorer the performance will be come. You dont need Sandymere's science to understand that. Dogs have evolved from wolves, but the key word is evolved. And a dog needs fuel in the tank to perform to its best, and recover better
  6. but practicing bad techniques is even worse!
  7. first cross whippet wheaten. around eight or nine i think. stick it over a greyhoundWhy would anyone use a greyhound these days? Theres plenty of proven WORKING dogs about...dogs that actually have stamina, durability, good feet etc etc etcBut none can match it for speed, prey drive..... an they can be awesome fox dogs, and they can take knocks toThere are proven coursing dogs out there that would match a grey for prey drive, not be that far behind in pace, better feet, better stamina, far more robust and far greater game sense. stamina, well obviously, but pace..... not a chance..... and as
  8. Deerhound x,or bull x? which is best?only one way to find out fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. That lad can ride alright, but he would be better off with a set of cow horns fitted
  10. plenty of bull x's out there with brains. It's just that many owners never give them the opportunity to use 'em

    Rspca

In fairness, the majority of the people who have commented on H and H forum, have very little idea on the sinister workings of the RSPCA. Infact, the majority of the british puplic are equally clueless. They only see what is portrayed on animal rescue programs, because they themselves are not factual documentaries, just a PR exercise. I hope this case goes fully public when the truth comes out and the masses start to see the RSPCA for the shower of sh#te they have become.
  14. for clearance work, limbing, etc I have never found anything that compares to one of these http://www.fiskars.co.uk/Gardening-Yard-Care/Products/Wood-Branches/Forestry/126003-Fiskars-Brush-Hook-X3

  17. cheers lads. Apart from Miles, ya cheeky tw#t! The old bitch has plenty of life left to teach the young dog a few tricks before next season starts. And no doubt she will still be marking sprung traps and ratting till they day she turns up her toes. You couldn't stop her if you tried
  18. My wee collie cur is 8 this time, and those years of ratching around are starting to take its toll. This season will probably be her last in the first team, so I felt the time was right to get a replacement in for next season and beyond. T'old lass new lass
