Who "polices" the RSPCA? because whoever that maybe needs to drag these feckin' idiots into the dock and give them the kicking they deserve

  4. feck off! now you are making me feel twice as old
  5. these days using collie greyhounds as the basis for a dog to catch hares is a waste. There are far better dogs out there for that task that would still perform admirbly compared to the collie based "coursing dogs". If you are going to breed collie x's, breed a type that makes the most of the collie strengths, not one that has collie in it, but performs like something else. Otherwise its a wasted exercise
  6. never seen as many as I have this year!
  7. if I dont get rid of these in the kitchen, I'll never get a feckin' treat!
  8. when training some dogs, you sometimes have to think outside the box
  9. wouldn't a drivey dog be an issue though one that would go at it 110% do or die type. All that turning twisting and speed in such a small area or you just let it nail in 2 seconds being the only other option ? All them stresses would far exceed what it would do after a jinking bunny pick what surface you do it on wisely sounds like sand would be good lol aye, but not in the bunker of the local golf club! I'm fortunate to have access to a riding arena and it makes for a great enclosed training area. for all types of dog

  11. Its not used for running dogs but running dog pups,in which case it has a lot more relevance than for a terrier whos job below does not involve chasing or making sudden changes of direction. For terriers it is only used for fitness. Lets be clear,Im not talking about dogs hanging off rope tied to a tree. Im talking ten foot pole and rope with lure or fishing rod type. got to agree, a very handy tool for pups. can be used to work on strike, retrieve, release. Not to mention fitness and co-ordination. short sessions, little and often work a treat. Also useful for taking a little steam out o
  12. Collie crosses are crap! too right! everytime I've had one I replace it with another, just to prove me right!
  13. Real busy up here just now with tourists and it will be like this until October now but if you head up this way shout up I will have a wander with you..I know most of this place like the back of my hand haha but somedays, you leave your gloves on
  14. The MM stuff is very good. highly digestible and does not swell up like a lot of kibble when wet. I used to feed it but one of the dogs went off it for some reason, And wont touch it now. I fed it as a mixer when the dogs were in work, and as a complete food when rested and all did fine Thanks trenchy I use a complete similar to you or when my meat supplier now n again doesn't quite have enough in, what you use now then since yours went off mm.. taste the wild and simpsons 80/20, though that fussy fecker has gone off the Simpsons 80/20 completely, so may well order the Akela next time

  16. I've fed high protein content food as a base for the last 2 seasons, with game and table scraps added. Mine have done well on it, but if the level is too high they will fart for britain. as the level is too much for them. when out of work they drop back onto something with lower content of protein and fat.
  17. 10 minutes is more than plenty for a pup, especially given how warm its been the last few days
  18. I hate company when lamping. Dont mind going with one other, then spliting up. But 2 folk end up nattering, and if I wanted that, I'd go sit with that bloke in the pub
