  3. I remember the first time I saw an ad for a lurcher written like that. I couldnt decide wether the seller lived in some remote Welsh village or had a selection of scrabble tiles for sale!

  6. I've 3 collie x's aged between 11 and 3, nice calm and responsive dogs. Then I have a 2 year old saluki x. It still behaves like a dick after 18 months of being here
  7. they also double up as a handy slip lead if you dont like running a dog with a collar on. And as its a "normal" lead cannot be classed as poaching paraphernalia.
  8. Great little dogs that given the opportunity can punch above their weight. But they don't weigh very much.

  10. For me fox hunting was always done through necessity, but running early morning roe deer was a great pleasure to watch. An easy carry and always in demand.

Oh yes. up and at them style, but just as happy to sit back and slug it out if need be. Didn't push her too hard early on as she needed a fair bit of work mentally and physically to bring her right, but she is definitely getting there

I know mate I think I'm just going to end up putting my gum shield on and some gloves n just turn up one of them off you, mrs wouldn't like it but she doesn't like her own shadow What about a collie x shepherd? If you're not in a rush,probably be healthier than a shepherd too. If you want a serious protection dog I'd find a good trainer first and go with their recommendation. you only get all them health problems when you go down the show line of the dogs the shepherd bitch I've got is more to the working side she has good strong back strong legs you can tell the difference mate belie
  18. although i kept collies for years and enjoyed them i never wanted a collie x lurcher. Strangely I've always had a collie x lurcher or cur about the place. I've always found that we just click along nicely together. we also have had a collie or 2 out of necessity and everyone one of them, apart from their herding ability, have driven me around the twist.

  22. i know how old it was.. yeah TOMO i heard the little lamping dog was only a youngun,but it must of been some little machine to do that all the same,wish i had one as good some day,was the courseing dog out of any good stuff,or just your ordinary run of the mill fen plodder coursing dog wernt that old either.
