  1. Here's a pic of my old dog "Guido" excellent on Sambar deer. Sadly he had an encounter with a snake about a week after this photo was taken............RIP Guido The dog tracked this wounded stag for over 800 metres through thick dry bush 12 hours after it was shot by a novice hunter. I am having difficulty finding quality DD's here in Australia. I'd be keen to hear from DD/GWP people who haven't condemed their dogs to the show ring.
  2. Looking for good lines to import to Australia. Can anyone assist?
  3. The purpose of degreasing the traps is to remove all traces of oil grease used in the manufacturing and protection of the trap and its steel components. This is done to remove all unnatural scent which is a major cause for “dig upsâ€. If your quarry smells or feels the trap it will dig the trap up and avoid capture. This is usually accompanied by the animal scent marking the trap by urinating or defecating on it. The purpose of waxing the trap is to protect it from corrosion and to ensure smooth operation. Dyeing is only really necessary when trapping critters in water where the trap can

  9. I was just checking out my lurcher this morning and found that he has broken off his bottom left canine tooth about 1/2 way up. A few broken teeth on my terriers in the past hasn't really worried them much - but I'm a little concerned about the effect on the bigger dog on bigger quarry. Experiences anyone?
  10. Best way to snare a rat is get an old lady to lie on the ground with her handbag wideopen. When scummy spotty young rats try to take the bait whack em on the head with a really thick and heavy stick. You should have no problems with this method .Cheers. Let me know how many you kill. Ah the "dead fall" system - crude but effective
